Ok I Have A New Nokia Phone And I Paid For Everything And It Is Saying No Service

How to damage your phone without parents knowing its you?

ok so i need to damage my phone so i can get an iphone this might look stupid but yeah anyways i want a way that wont show its me like throwing it in a cleaning machine or something so any ideas ? i need lots of them in case one didnt work xD
thanks in advance

How can I make it look like my phone broke?

Ok so I have this really bad quality pay as you go phone that keeps calling people while its in my pocket and says "insert SIM" when it is in. I asked my parents for a new phone and they said mine works fine so I don't need a new one. I've had this phone for like 3 years and my sister had almost the same kind and when she accidentally let it go through the washing machine my dad goes and buys her some awesome touch screen phone. She is irresponsible and gets rewarded so I think I deserve a new phone. And it has to look like an accident...Help?

Can a phone work without a SIM card? Why or why not?

Well...Let's go with a YES....a phone, that is: the device today known as a smartphone, which employs -in some occassions- a SIM card- can work without a SIM, providing that :If you want to use that device as a phone, cellular phone, then NO, it won't work.  It requires the SIM card to be able to "enable" so to say, the actual phone number and then connect and identify itself to a cellular network and ultimately place and receive cellular phone calls. Now, it you want to use that very same device with or without a SIM card for:WiFi based Internet purposes (navigation, downloading pictures, movies, music)...Music listening.Movie / video watching.Pictures taking with the camera.Any internet based communications (hangouts, skype, etc.    -WhatsApp may depend on having had, at least once, an operational SIM card tough-)Then your phone WILL perfectly work fine, as all this activities, (except perhaps for WhatsApp activation), do not require, nor depend on a SIM card and the functionality this SIM provides.

When did you get your first cell phone?

it seems like everyone else has a cell but me (i don't want to sound like i only want a cell phone cause everyone else does)... I'm just wondering what age you got your first cell phone and did you buy it or did someone else? and did you pay for the monthly bill or not? and how do i convince my parents to get me one with the cost being all on them??

Why don't my parents buy me anything?

there are many possible reasons why they do that. either:

1. they want you to learn the value of money. Maybe they think that consistent refusal to indulge their child will teach them to learn the value of saving money.

2. Do you have smartphone, computer, etc? Maybe you haven't consider those as things as "gifts" from your parents, while your parents consider those things as enough for you. Maybe from lack of too many non-essential gifts, they give you only the most essential, reasonably prized gifts. Just think that I'd rather have 1 computer than have 10 toys.

3. they don't realize that you are neglected in terms of material things. Maybe they think that you have enough.

4. They are saving money. maybe they think every coin counts.

anyway, just tell them what you feel, but in a nice way. Tell them that you are growing up and you want something for yourself.

I am not one to judge, but because I don't know you, I cannot measure the reasonableness of them not giving you something. Maybe you don't realize this, maybe they don't realize that.

I seldom asked something from my parents (maybe tuition fee, or other bills) but I never asked much, like phone (I am very much satisfied to have a monochrome Nokia, since it serves it's most basic function: call and text. No fancy crap like internet and games). When I graduated elementary, highschool, even college, or even on my birthdays, I don't really receive any gifts. Seeing my college classmates receive cars, money, brand new smartphone, it makes me sad even if I know I don't need those. I know schooling, house, love, are more than enough for me, but seeing your friend receive those, plus indulgences, I can't help but feel neglected. I know it is selfish, but at least I don't bug them about buying me something).

If phone is switch off, is it possible that call forwarding is active?

There are three types of call forwarding, but really two.The first is when you go into the phone, settings, advanced, call forwarding and then set it to forward as needed. Even if the phone is off the forwarding works as it's been set on the network itself. The second, basically the same as the first is when to enter a strong of codes into the handset to forward the calls. It's not like the first but does the same function. Many phones have secret codes that can be manually entered to do this, like Samsung, lg, nokia, etc. Not all phones have this option. This also work when the phones off. It's the same as if you entered the call forwarding codes directly into your land phone home basically. The third is called an active call forwarding where have an app running on your phone to make the call forwarding. In this case, when the phone is off this type of call forwarding will not work as our needs the phone and the network connection to be active to work.
