Okay. Im Going To L.a. Spring Break And I Have No Idea What To Pack What The Weather Is Like Etc.

What is the minimum temperature that you would ride a motorcycle? (Comfortably)?

I am concerned only with comfort. I know that there is really no minimum temp but most people will not ride in -100F. I do not care about performance factors or weather conditions and I understand that these answers will be nothing but opinions of experienced and non-experienced motorcycle enthusiasts.

What should a female pack for a trip to Sikkim and Darjeeling?

Since I have finished this trip successfully, I would like to make a list of my own.Winter Clothes: It is mind numbingly cold on the peak, so pack appropriately. Some tips: Instead of bulky jackets, try to include many layers of clothing. I.e. a thin sweater, a body warmer ( I can not stress on how important this is ), a windcheater ( You can use these individually when it is not that cold, e.g. at Darjeeling, etc), etc. Invest in a good pair of gloves.Carry plenty of socks( Cotton/Woollen ones). To play in the snow, you don't need to carry any gear, as you can always rent it all at the base. It is okay if you want to carry your own, but it is bulky, and honestly, the rest of the place is not that cold.Medicines: Carry your first aid kid. the air is very thin on the top, so if you are asthmatic/ have breathing problems, make sure you carry appropriate medicines. The roads are tricky, and if you are not used to it, so something to combat the motion sickness, and to stop vomiting would be preferable. Other essentials like pain killers, antibiotics, etc. should be included. Women should carry pads, or whatever they use, as a precaution.Other Clothes: Carry enough inners to last without washing. It is very cold there, and even if you manage to wash, it won't dry. Carry a minimum of a pair for a day, especially socks, as they tend to get soiled fast. Carry scarf/ muffler, ear muffs, etc.If you are going to be travelling by train, and are unable to procure an AC ticket, please carry enough blankets. It gets very cold at night.Food : If you are not used to North- Eastern food, or are not open to trying out new cuisines, do pack some dry food items like Biscuits/ Cookies, as it might be difficult to get perfect Indian food for you. That said, please do try the specialties here.Documents Needed:Carry photocopies of your identity proof, passport size photographs, and essential travel contact book (a physical book, not on phone). At many places, you will be asked to take permits, so you will need all those.CameraDo carry a good camera, we lost ours in the beginning of the trip, and I can not tell you how beautiful the scenery was, and how I itched to capture it into something better than the phone.

How dangerous is it to drive from LA to Seattle in winter, going up I-5?

I live in Seattle, I’m from the SF Bay Area, and I went to college in Oregon, so I have spent a decent amount of time driving from CA to OR or WA and back. When I was in college, I drove a ’73 bug. When I was in grad school, I drove a toyota 2WD pick-up. And since then I’ve generally driven AWD vehicles (one car and one SUV).I think I can confidently tell you that it is perfectly safe to drive I-5 from LA to SEA this time of year. There are really only two mountain passes that might have heavy snow. These are the summit at Weed, CA and Siskiyou Summit at the CA/OR border. Both are well maintained and need to be due to the importance of I-5 for both transportation and commerce. I can only think of a couple times in the last many years when I’ve had to gear down and take it really slow on either of these summit passes. You will want to carry chains in your car as a precaution, but I can’t even remember when I’ve needed them. The only other challenge this time of year is when there is driving rain, visibility at night in the OR/WA segments of this trip can be pretty bad. Attempt to schedule your driving to be predominantly during daylight hours and you’ll do fine.PS: The 101 is much more hazardous, although still not terribly dangerous. The last time I took the 101 down to CA would have been in 2013 during the Christmas holidays. The drive is beautiful, but you really need to take your time. Between the fog and the hard rain, visibility at night is really bad in some areas. For instance, the first leg of our trip ended at Lincoln City, OR. The last approx. 2 hours of that part (from Astoria to Lincoln City) was at night, 101 is 2 lanes, there was fog and a heavy mist. Very long 2 hours. The 101 will also add several hours to your trip.

I have a LOT of questions on SM- Can you answer them?

(Ugh, the rest of that note didn't post.. -.-)
Well, anyway- CONTINUED AGAIN!
fans don't get too angry..
42. I'm a very silly and a goofy person, but I know how to be serious. I like to joke around a laugh. I smile A LOT and also laugh a lot- should I completely knock that out of my system for the audition? Or should I show them how I'm really like?
43. Last question- FINALLY! Sorry this has been so long..
I'm planning on sending six videos on a CD for my audition. 1. One of me singing with a microphone and music. 2. One of me singing without a microphone and no music. 3. One of me playing the piano and singing. 4. A 30 second freestlye dance. 5. A planned dancing routine. and 6. (Which will be the first one) One of me introducing myself (name, age, date of birth, reason, etc.) But should I include me speaking the amount of Korean that I know to show that I progress fast? (I became "fluent" in basic conversational Korean in one month..)
Thank you!!

Can you travel to Leh Ladakh with a kid of 4 years? Is it advisable to do a road trip via Manali?

Though the question is a bit old, but I am answering the question in hope that someone will find it useful. Now the answer :Manali to Leh highway is harsh. Many things can go wrong, AMS, weather, road issues etc. Kids travelling with you will also face the same situations. Keep that in mind.I had an 18 month old son and my cousin had a 16 month old daughter, when we wanted to do that trip. I had been reading about it, for months. I consulted with Dr and he gave us a Green signal, with some cautions. Finally we made the trip, which went quite smooth, I would say. We started early from Manali, reached Jispa in the afternoon and stayed overnight. Next day again we started early and reached Leh by evening. We also went to Psangong lake and returned via Srinagar. My suggestions for the trip:Have proper acclimatization. You need it more, just because you care more about the kids ( when actually they acclimatize better than the adults, my personal experience)DON'T even think about this trip if your kid has any medical problems or was born premature or is under 12 months.DON’T take a night halt at Sarchu, if you are coming from Manali side. Halt at Keylong or Jispa instead. If you are planning for Manali-Leh-Srinagar circuit, go for the other way round.Keep enough warm clothes. You and the kid may have to face sub zero temperatures.Keep enough food for your kid as backup, in case anything goes wrong.Keep the kids body hydrated. Give him/her more liquids than solids.Don’t feed the kid too much. Especially when you have a day ahead on road. The kid may vomit, just like the adults often do, during the trip. You shouldn't worry too much as long it is not more than 3–4 in any day.Keep medicines with you. For adults and kids both. For vomitting, headaches, cold, fever, constipation and AMS. For AMS Diamox is available in form of tablets (for adults) and liquid (for kids). Diamox has side effects, so i would suggest using it only if there are signs of AMS.Stay cautious, keep an eye on your kid. If the kid is vomitting too much, crying too much, it may be a sign of AMS. Use Diamox in such scenarios. Descend immediately and seek medical help if things don't improve.Disclaimer : I am not a medical professional. My suggestions are only based upon my experience. Consult with medical professionals, before making the trip.
