Old Kids Show Nostalgia

Won't it be ridiculous if there was 2010s nostalgia in the 2030s?

unless these people speak about Adventure Time, Minecraft, etc then it isn't so bad. But with all the smartphone addictions, social media dominating lives, young kids with smartphones, selfies, i don't think there should be 2010s nostalgia. an article says you have much more fun and are less alone when you aren't addicted to your smartphone. and no i'm not a 90s kid. kids constantly say online this generation sucks because people listen to Iggy Azalea or Nicki Minaj but honestly listening to them isn't such a big deal. I honestly don't think people ever missed the 30s or early 40s. Why would people in Germany from the 60s say they miss the early 40s? (Holocaust, WWII, Nazism). Why would people in the 50s say they miss the 30s? (Great Depression, Nazism). Many people today point out why people shouldn't see the 50s as perfect (Racism, Jim Crow laws). just because someone likes Nicki Minaj's music doesn't mean that it's a f-ck up of society. i honestly would rather live where everyone listens to her music than a world of everybody staring at their smartphones. I also think a lot of 2000s music is better than classic rock music.

Name of old 90's kid sing along show?

Sounds like KidSongs, it was on PBS.. it looked like a news set, with 2 hosts ( Christian and Alexandra ) sitting at an anchor desk, and the other kids working behind the scenes, doing camera work and interviews etc, and they showed music videos with kids in them singing classic kids songs.... and there was a blue fuzzy character mascot running around named Billy Biggle..

Kidsongs was on in the 90's and stated it was the only show made by kids, for kids and starring kids....

What is the most nostalgic animated show from your childhood?

The MoominsMoomin was a Swedish novel and comic which was later turned into a 2D animation show. The collaboration was Japanese-Swedish-Finnish-Dutch, so it was an international anime for kids. This collaboration extended to Nepal. We didn't have cable TV back then it was in about 2000s. So we had to watch Nepal Television and this was one of very few program targeted for kids. The compulsion later turned into wonder and amazement. The cast was good, the story was long and interconnected. It made you come back every week. I think it aired continuously for more than 100 episodes and every child in Kathmandu watched it and talked about it for weeks. It was that charming. For me personally it showed me the way how long stories can be interwoven. It showed me old painting style art is so charming and that animation and imagination go together so well.

How old is too old to watch Kids TV shows?

I don't watch Kids TV shows, just now, but how old is too old to watch "Are You Afraid of the Dark" I know for a fact that I am too old to watch it, and I am not old enough to call it nostalgia, although that is why I want to watch it, because I live in the UK and we haven't had it for as long as the states, we have had it for years and years, but still not as long, and I never had the chance to watch it when i was the right age, so I am trying to reclaim parts of my childhood, lol. So does that sound weird? Be brutally honest!! I am 17...

What are cartoons you grew up with that make you feel nostalgic?

I guess every 90–00 children will relate:Tom and JerryLooney tunesDexters laboratoryPower puff girlsPokémon was lifeCourage the cowardly dogJohnny bravoRichie richTintinPopeye the sailor manDuck talesThe FlintstonesScooby DooMicky mouseSpider manJungle bookThese make me so nostalgic. No doraemon and Motu patlu can ever beat them. :')

Why do I seem to get nostalgic over 90s songs when I'm only 14? I also get the same feeling about PS2 games which I used to play during my childhood.

Ah, yes.Good old ‘Second-Hand Nostalgia’.I experience the same feeling you get during 90’s songs when I take a bike ride through the suburbs or watch old home videos of kids playing in their backyards.I feel nostalgic when I imagine a motley group of Sandlot-esque kids playing baseball or basketball in their neighborhood and hanging out, even though I didn’t do much of that as a kid.I feel nostalgic when I imagine a group of teens in 2004 skateboarding at a skate park in late July and then heading to the mall afterwards for some fro-yo.Even though that’s over 10 years past my time. It’s something that everyone feels, so don’t worry about it! Just enjoy the feeling of nostalgia! :)

Been thinking about middle school lately, feel nostalgic and sad?

so today i saw a few people from hs/middle school. im a soph in college right now and i got to catch up with some people over winter break. anyway this girl told me two guys i went to middle school recently died. this is a second occurance young guys i went to school with dying. last year 3 kids i knew died as well. its so weird i havent seen this guy since middle s (i went to a diff hs than everyone else in my middle school) and i cant help but be so sad about it. from what i remember he was a sweet guy. i just feel so weird, like life has been passing by so quickly. all these people i used to know as kids .. dead. its just weird. i remember when things were simple, we didnt even drive back then. i kinda miss middle school, i know a lot of people find that time akward but that was prob my best time. i have such good memories, hs wasnt that great for me. its just weird sometimes i wish i could go back to those days, feel old. dont really know what my Q is but if anyone has any advice..

Nostalgic about a time when I wasn't even born?

How refreshing to read your question. I grew up in the 50's & 60's & as I look back to those days of old, how I wish I could go back to those times. I have so many great memories to reflect upon. They were much simpler times then or maybe it was because I was young & carefree. The music was great, & American Bandstand came into our homes five days a week. We thought the cars were soooo sharp, & so cheap, as compared to now, but still, most every family just had one. There were no cell phones, we had five other people sharing our home phone line, so good luck trying to use the phone or get a call that a person was waiting for wasn't always easy. The women stayed home to take care of the home & raise the children, while the husband went to work each day. We sat around the kitchen table & had our meals together. The tv was not allowed to be on until after the meals. When the tv was turned on, no remotes like today, we kept our fingers crossed that we'd get a channel to come in. Aluminum foil was used to wrap around the rabbit ears, to allow a fairly good reception, until the rooftop antenna was mounted on the roof & we used a little box to change the position of the antenna, from inside. No cable back then.On Sunday, we gathered around the dining room table for dinner, even if we didn't have company. It was a special treat for my sister & I. As a child, I had chores to do & I didn't dare give an excuse for not doing them. My mom taught me how to do the dishes, no dishwashers back then, & my knowledge of how to cook, bake, do laundry, iron, clean house, was a result of my mom teaching me. We went to bed early on Saturday night, so we would be well rested in the morning, as it was time to go to church. Family time was instilled in me in so many ways. People weren't made fun of if they were overweight & we didn't grow up thinking we had to be pencil thin to be attractive. TV viewing was a favorite passtime & was family time well spent. Boy, have times changed huh?

How can I recapture my youth, I'm a 90s kid feeling crazy nostalgic?

Maybe not quite the right era, but the movie Ready Player One, which is is due for release on the 29th of March has a lot of 80s nostalgia. If you can’t wait a few weeks, maybe try reading the book (by Ernest Cline). It might not have quite the same feel for a nineties kid, but it should still be familiar enough send you back in time for a few hours.
