On A Report Card Scale What Should I Give Nixon

What date in the fall of 1960 was Richard Nixon in Bridgeport, CT?

I spent an hour trying to find this for you, but with no luck. I found out that Lincoln visited Bridgeport in 1860, and in 2006 President Bush commemorated a plaque at the spot Lincoln gave a speech. But I could find no mention of Richard Nixon's visit at all. Sorry.

I'd like to sell an autographed baseball card by trot nixon on ebay. I need help?

Honestly, you will not get $5.

Sorry.

Here are the search results if you think I am making it up:

Who was the worst president? GW BUSH or richard nixon?

Wow, that's a tough one, but I'm going to have to go with Bush. 2 unfunded wars that served no purpose regarding Al Qaeda or Bin Laden. Left the nation in absolute shambles for which the current administration is getting all the flack. He should be arrested and tried for his crimes against America and humanity.

What did President Nixon do that was so bad?

Watergate is a general term for a series of political scandals, which began with the arrest of five men who broke into the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Washington D.C. office/apartment complex and hotel called the Watergate on June 17, 1972. The attempted cover-up of the break-in ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Investigations conducted by the FBI, Senate Watergate Committee, House Judiciary Committee and the Press revealed that this burglary was just one of many illegal activities authorized and carried out by Nixon's staff. They also revealed the immense scope of crimes and abuses, which included campaign fraud, political espionage and sabotage, illegal break-ins, wiretapping on a massive scale, including the wiretapping of the press and regular citizens, and a secret slush fund laundered in Mexico to pay those who conducted these operations. This secret fund was also used as hush money to buy silence of the seven men who were indicted for the June 17 break-in. President Nixon and his staff conspired to cover up the break-in as early as six days after it occurred. After enduring two years of mounting evidence against the President and his staff, which included former staff members testifying against them in a Senate investigation, it was revealed that Nixon had a tape recording system in his offices and that he had recorded many conversations. Undeniable evidence, spoken by Nixon himself and recorded on tape, revealed that he had obstructed justice and attempted to cover up the break-in.

Do conservatives still support a draft like they did in the 60s?

Of course they do. People like President Dick Cheney will be able to stay out of military service and combat, even though they support all those wars. "Let the poor be the cannon fodder", they think.

President Dick Cheney thinks combat is like shooting a lawyer in the face while hunting quail.

Did you know republicans started Welfare?

yes nixon stopped the vietnam war.... after he bomber all of cambodia and killed off a few tens of thousands of american troops and after 70% of americans polled to stop the war and a peace treaty that got us nowhere...

nixon was a bad president.

On a scale from 1-10. How would you rate the Bush Presidency?

Just like a report card, he gets some good grades, some bad grades

Keeping us safe from terror: 10
Keeping taxes low and affordable: 9
Pronouncing words? 3
In crisis mode (after 9/11, FEMA)? 7
Facing economic difficulty: 2

Do I think he tried his best? Certainly, these are unprecendented times in our markets and around the world- nobody knows exactly what to do or what will happen next. In no way did he have it out to get anyone or anything, he just made some good decisions, and lately a lot of bad ones. His legacy won't look as bad as people say it will.

How much longer will the Republicans tolerate Trump?

They’ll tolerate Trump until they believe they’ll lose their seat in power by supporting the manPower corrupts, absolute power corrupts exponentially™(I wrote that just as Trump wrote “priming the pump”, thus the trademark, *takes a bow*)The republicans are given an incredible opportunity for driving home their agenda, stealing more middle class assets, giving those to their monetary contributors, corporations and the filthy rich, which they’ve become card carrying members. This power corrupted them before Trump, now, Trump gives them an opportunity for growing their wealth at our expense even more, along with more power, they’re sticking with the man. There has always been a base, I believe Nixon enjoyed about the same percentage of supporters Trump ownsNixon had GOP support when he went down too[Nixon] still had the strong support of a majority of Republican voters. That link is optimistic, claiming majority party support didn’t help Nixon, but those were different times weren’t they. The parties weren’t as polarized, they had no means, nor the will for coordinating a burn earth campaign against their party.Bannon and the base have a scorched earth policy, if their critters abandon Trump, the base will primary every one of them. The critters have more at stake than Nixon’s critters, and they’re wielding more power then they did when Nixon was president,Frankly, I don’t think the republicans lose Trump unless they begin believing they lose their seat in power by standing behind him. That might happen in the mid term elections, I think if the democrats make strong inroads, that might be when the R’s realize it’s time to cut bait.Cross fingers there.Pence is no bargain guys, he’’s going to give them the same agenda they had with Trump, I think in this case, I go with the devil I don’t know, rather than the devil I do
