GS: Do you think men make better songwriters than women?
I don't think I can choose between the two myself. As a music lover, I am a fan of many female and male songwriters. Bob Dlyan, The Beatles, Ingrid Michaelson, Vanessa Carlton, June Carter.. so although I don't think either make a better one, I do think there happens to be more male ones that are exceptional.
Is this GS woman correct? She called me ignorant and needing of education!?
So typically I see a lot of GS women say things like this woman and then insult people when in my opinion they are in fact the ones that are wrong. My question was regarding race etc. Then this woman told me "We are all the human race, you sound ignorant and uneducated". Now I don't claim to be a genius but I am pretty sure my years in biology taught us that humans (homo sapiens) are in fact a species. We are not a race. There is no such thing as the human race. I know I have heard some ignorant hollywood movies repeat "the human race" but how is that evidence? Seems to some people that is evidence if a hollywood movie said it! I mean on transformers they said EBE1 and told the main guy to "learn your acronyms" But that isn't even an acronym. It's initialism. Sigh. As acronyms are said as words and intitialisms are said as letters like USA for example. Something I don't like knowing anything since everyone just calls you ignorant and uneducated when in fact they are the ones that are wrong and it's frustrating.
What is the role of men in women empowerment?
Nowadays, when so many people are talking about women empowerment. People are conducting workshops to educate women to tell them about their rights. Lots of debates are happening on gender equality all over the world. Why things are not getting better?Women since ancient time have always been associated mainly with beauty and men with the power which itself is the main reason why so much of inequality exist today. But in this developing world when we are growing in each and every field. When we have moved forward from ancient way of healing to advanced methodology. Why people are not able to see girls beyond these pre-conceived notions? Before you say because of men dominated society. I would like to bring your focus on things which has always bothered me a lot. It bothers me when I see even small girls coated with large amount of makeup, It bothers me when I see teenage girls only goal is to get attention of smartest boy in their school\college, It bothers me when girls only hidden requirement for a boy to marry is his high-end income, It bothers me when I see girls considering selfie or a picture of them with the highest appreciation for their achievement of the day, It bothers me when I see girls rarely contributing toward their marriage expenses. It bothers me when I see girls having no plan to become financially independent, It bothers me when I see girls rarely taking care of their parent's expenses after their marriage.Image Source: GoogleWe, the women of this society are responsible for our upliftment and no one else. Don't run behind that white painted bodies that we see on our television, that is their profession, they are doing their business. Stop spending all time in your beautification, instead start utilizing time in enhancing your talent, Stop dreaming only about a prince to come and take you to his world of wonders, instead create your own wonderland. Stop forcing your parents to gift you an expensive wedding dress, instead, try to give them a gift from your own earnings. Why Do Men Try To Date Good Looking Women When They Aren't Good Looking Themselves?
I'm not being shallow, I'm a really deep and intelligent person.!! I know that the thing that attracts me to someone is firstly their looks, which starts off that whole chemical reaction of "wanting them". You don't spot an ugly person and decide to get to know them on a date because there's no sexual spark there. I honestly don't believe in the whole "personality wins over looks" quote. I've never had sexual attraction to anyone who isn't stunning to look at, the unattractive people end up as friends because they're good for that but the thought of having sex with them is sickening. And I'm almost 30 years old. So, why do men and I'm really stating that it's mostly men who do it, why do they assume they are desirable enough to try it on with good looking women? What makes unattractive men think that just because he is interesting and a nice person that she will want to get passionate and intimate with him? Sexual desire is just primeval and it was always based on looks.!!
What are some good examples of irrational behavior?
Irrational behavior is not limited to women or men. When failure is anticipated, expected, when tragedy is inevitable, when tensions are mounting, when our plans gone to astray, when our expectations are not yielding any thing, we tend to lose our rational thinking. In most cases if we take our own decision, we will not be irrational - but when we start consulting some one else on our personal matters - we face conflicts between our own opinion and friend's opinion on our matters and we may not be in a position to decide what is correct and can not take decision and we act irrationally and later blame the friend. Women are always worried about their positions, identities and while men are open and pro active. Women tend to look at each word spoken by men with x ray eyes while men take women's word as it is. You will find many examples in this kind of social media where women gets suspicious and vary about men with whom they maintain conversation and become irrational or act as if irrational to verify the reaction of the men or his attitude or capability of handling the situation. Men act irrationally with other men - not with women.
Can you find examples of "mainstream" feminists denouncing misandry?
It is an oft-repeated claim here in GS that no "mainstream" feminist has ever denounced misandry by radical feminists. I skept. Heavily. I also skept that most of the examples of radical-feminist "misandry" are genuinely fair representations of the beliefs of said feminists, rather than just quote-mining, distortions, taking a fictional character's words as the views of her creator, or the like. I don't doubt that *some* radical feminists are genuine misandrists, but I also suspect that a lot of them are... made to appear significantly more "misandrist" than they actually are. So, I'd like counter-examples. Feminists denouncing misandry, and/or cases where an oft-quoted example of "radical feminist misandry" is actually just a misrepresentation, or the like. Got anything for me?
Why do ugly men feel entitled to women?
I think there are variables here. Every person, regardless of looks and regardless of gender, is deserving enough to find someone to love. Our society is too focused on looks, if someone is a good person, then they deserve love and attention. If they are mean (regardless of whether they are attractive or not) I don't think they should get all the attention that they get. Now, what my pet peeve is, is when people (regardless of gender) think they are owed sex. Especially when love or attention is offered freely, but that's not good enough, they only want sex. I have known many guys that had arrogant personalities who only cared about a woman's outward appearance. When she turned him down, he said that she was being judgmental because of his looks. He said she needs to look past his looks to his personality (which was arrogant). Now of course these arrogant guys were only going after outwardly pretty girls. The girl brought this to his attention and said "If you want a girl to be with you for your personality then you should focus on that, too, and not keep going after only pretty girls." Of course this works both ways, and women behave this way as well.
What can men do that women cannot?
I am going to leave out all the physical and related behavioural differences and point a few things the men in my life do easily compared to us women and girls.They can keep secrets. They do not spread secrets around.They are not tied down by feelings of envy or jealousy. They are comfortable seeing others do well in life. It doesn't mean they do not work hard for success.Their friendships last longer with both men and women.They trust us more than we trust them.They are diplomatic in answering and handling others hence get a good name everywhere. We are more frank and curt.They prefer a peaceful house and are blind to small problems between people at home. Rather they sit like inert gases. We women enjoy each and every problem at home and neighbourhood and also enjoy gossiping about the happenings.They keep problems to themselves till it is solved, we create hell for everybody till we solve it.Men forgive and forget, we always remember, sometimes forgive but never forget. We remember things since we were 7 yrs old.Men understand only one meaning from one sentence. We understand ten meanings from one sentence.Their ok, bye, I see, Pl go, I will be back…all mean what they mean in simple language. We mean different things when we say even simple words like.. Yes, No, OK. You decide, next time..When in trouble or tension they become quiet or lie down, some sleep. When we are in trouble we call people, talk, discuss, scold, cry and create hell for everybody.Men can choose a shirt and pant in ten minutes in a shop. We take ten min to decide a shop, one hour for seeing, choosing, rejecting and going to the next shop. Repeating till we are tired till we take something, after going back to the first shop.They take 5 min to get ready, we take 5 hrs totally to decide, to prepare, to wear and check and change to another set after our mirror decides “no”.For hours together they can laze on the couch watching sports or share market prices with timely tea and snacks. We prefer going outdoors, even a mall without any purpose.They postpone house matters. They do house hold handy man work only on the last day till…the kitchen is flooded, or rain water splashes in or guests are arriving any time now.We clean the sink, washroom, window panes as and when needed.They are calm and don't crib. We crib a lot because they make us do that.
