Adobe Indesign - show linking path between text boxes?

To get the text to flow, you first have to paste (or "get") text into the initial text box. Now click the Selection tool (keystroke: v) or Direct Selection tool (keystroke: a) and click that text box. A tiny red box with a cross will appear over the text box. Click that cross and click a different text box to flow the text from one to another.

To see the linked text boxes (or "text threads" in InDesign), go to view -> Show text threads (or comm+opt+y on a Mac , ctrl+alt+y on a PC). Hope this helps!

How does Facebook make money from Facebook pages and groups?

It's all about gathering and selling data, majority of the Facebook users do not have a clue how the are being the product. Most of the services which are 'free'. Makes users their product and make money out of it. Making money by just gathering some personal information about you and selling it. If one would read the privacy agreement of those applications(which we hardly do) they would be surprised to see what they are accepting before they use those 'free' services. In short, you agree to trade your personal details, likes, relationships etc for using those 'free services' which are not actually free. Believe it or not, here's the 'behind the scenes' how their algorithm works?Buying what's app $19 billion was the smartest move Facebook made. I'll cut it short ,They collect your data, understand your likes, and sell stuff to you through their advertisers. The next time you will have a conversation with your friend buying a brand new nike or Jordan's. You'll find relevant advertisements when you're browsing Facebook.Don't hesitate trying it. Who's the buyer? Let's say you're on a limited budget and you open up a business, you want only the people who are interested in your services to know about your business when you advertise it online, there's no way you can get information about individuals who are interested in your services. But Facebook is known for knowing one better then his/her spouse. So you can go to Facebook open up a page ask them to advertise your campaign only to those people who are actually interested in it. Saving you some money and making Facebook a 100% profit. By selling something they got it for free. This is How it works. And now you know why Mark Zukerberg'S net worth is doubling almost every 2 years. Upvote if it helped. Keeps me motivated

What does someone mean by saying "Time is Relative?"?

Saying that something is relative is the opposite of saying that it's absolute, meaning that its value has no set basis for comparison.

"Time is relative" is a way of saying that sometimes it seems to pass incredibly slowly, like when you're bored and, other times, it flies right by, like when you're having fun.

Or, alternatively, if referencing longer time frames, another example is that two weeks in the life of an insect is a lot of time (about half their life) whereas two weeks in the life of a giant tree is almost nothing (less than 0.0005% of some tree's life spans).

You get it? What's considered a "long" time depends entirely on what you're talking about.

Why are Hasselblad cameras considered so good?

Hi,

Interesting question!

1. Made in Sweden - one of the highest cost of living countries - so actual costs are very high
2. Bullet-proof - almost. Other wise extremely robust
3. Lenses so sharp you could cut yourself on the images
4. 6x6, 4.5x6 or 35mm removable film backs, and polariod (for test shots before digital came along). Whatever format you want, just switch the back. The same for digital backs - they are available in a number of formats
5. The 500 series is probably the most iconic - NASA took it to the moon
6. Lenses have the shutter - not the camera. Why? Because you can sync flash at 1/500 second, which is >2x the current speed of a focal plane shutter in a DSLR (or analog SLR)
7. The digital backs are a small fortune! Why? Because the sensors are large (as others have said) and particularly because the production volumes are very small, compared say to an APS-C sensor, so economies of scale are minimal
8. Medium format is not about frame rate, its about capturing the 1 or 2 stunning images from a shoot
9. The 500 bodies have mechanical curtain protecting the film - so you never, never need a battery. The compatible lenses also have mechanical shutters - and no auto-focus and of course no auto-exposure!
10. You can buy the current Hasselblad H3D, with a 39mp sensor and a 28mm lens for $30k - in image quality it will outperform any DSLR yet made.
11. The digital backs only shoot RAW, so you have to process the images on a computer

I have a 500cw, bought from a former British Airways staff photographer - it photographed Concorde in flight in the 1970's and 80's! Also a 203fe, which has some electonics built-in - but it's very much a manual camera. Everyday - Canon 1Ds MKiii, 5D MKii. Please don't let my wife know though!

Cheers
Charles

What is a refresh rate?

The refresh rate (or "vertical refresh rate", "vertical scan rate" for CRTs) is the number of times in a second that a display is illuminated. This is distinct from the measure of frame rate in that the refresh rate includes the repeated illumination of identical frames, while frame rate measures how often a display can change from one image to another.

For example, a movie projector advances from one frame to the next 24 times each second. But each frame is illuminated twice or three times before the next frame is projected. As a result, the movie projector runs at 24 frames per second, but has a 48 or 72 Hz refresh rate.

Increasing the refresh rate decreases flickering, reducing eye strain.

Basically, the faster the refresh rate of your monitor, the best gaming experience you will have, in contrast the less the refresh rate, the slow your game will be (like Hang time or logs).
