On Xbox One Will The Games You Bought On The Marketplace On Xbox 360 Transfer To Xbox One

If I wanted to transfer my digital games from XBOX 360 to XBOX One, would I need both consoles to do so, or could I transfer my XBOX 360 to a portable HD and then to an XBOX One?

Thanks for the A2A.Short answer? No.Longer answer? The Xbox One backwards compatibility for digital titles is done via your gamertag. You just log into an Xbox one, check you ready to install list and, if the publisher has let MS enable that game, it'll be waiting for you.on a technical standpoint the 360 game you play on X1 isn't the same file as you was playing on 360. (It's fully compatible with your cloud saves)

Can you license transfer disc games in XBOX Live?

License transfer is for transferring the licenses of an account's downloads to a new system if the account is put onto a new system because of a replacement of some sort. A disk doesn't have such a license so it wouldn't do anything for that game at all.

Abusing the license transfer system to give/get free downloads is marketplace theft and can get the accounts and systems of those involved permanently banned from Xbox Live.

If I sell my xbox live account, can whoever buys it transfer licenses and other stuff?

Selling your account sells your identity and all details that comes with it all liecensies will be transferred if they wish to as they would essentially be you!

Why would you want to sell your account any way?!?!?

Xbox One game transfer issue?

i download Grand Theft Auto 5 using the home console thing to transfer the game to my account from my friend's account. it worked for about the first week i had it. but now whenever i try to play, it says "Do you own this game or app? If you have a game disk insert it now. If you bought this online, make sure you're signed into Xbox Live.if you don't have the rights for playing it, you'll need to get it at the Xbox Store." with the error code 0x87de07d10

Why won't the game work anymore? I don't understand why it doesn't work anymore if it worked before.

PS: my friend never deleted the game from his account, is on Xbox Live when i try to play, and still has the same home console that he had when i downloaded the game from him.

Xbox license transfer not working?

The license transfer system only transfers the licenses of downloads the account has at that time, it can't transfer the licenses of downloads that account doesn't have yet. Melvin is quite correct though, what you are doing is marketplace theft and can ge the accounts and systems of those involved permanently banned for committing marketplace theft, so it would be best that you and your friend buy the downloads for yourselves, or get someone you know to buy them for you legitimately.

Edit: What is with the explosion of marketplace theft questions like this? I have seen dozens of these within the past few days, when normally I see only a couple in a month.

Can I transfer data from my Xbox 360 Arcade to my Xbox 360 Slim?

If the memory was saved onto a usb thumb drive, you can take that usb thumb drive and plug it into your xbox 360 slim. But however, if the arcade is not able to be turned on, using a transfer cable will not work as the arcade doesn't have a hard drive (unless you installed one)

Hope that helps

Xbox 360: If I were to buy one XBLA game, which one should it be?

It really depends on the type of game you are looking for, I will try to breakdown my list a bit.Single Player:Trials HDBraidThe MawDarwinia+Simultaneous Multiplayer:Castle Crashers (it is very very good)Worms 2: ArmageddonSplosion ManThere are also a number of great remakes and old school re-releases, but I won't bother listing them all.  This is super nerdy, but I have been really enjoying the Magic: The Gathering game.

How do I get my game on Xbox One to install?

It should go automatically. It is maybe problem if your HDD is full and there is no space to install. Then you have to delete something from your HDD to install your game

Can I play digitally downloaded Xbox One games while offline?

The only difference between physical and digital copies (when it comes to installation), is that the game installed from a physical disk requires the disk to be inside the system in order to play, while a digital version does not. That being said, yes you can play digital copies of games offline. However you have to have internet access in order to actually purchase and download the game.
