One Can Get The Two Same Degree From Same University

If I attended the same university twice to get my Bachelors degree, do I put it on my resume twice?

I started university to obtain a B.S. in Computer Science. After two years, I moved overseas to work (in a computing career field) and continued taking a few classes at a different university while there. Recently, I returned to complete my bachelors at my original university, although I have changed to Management Information Systems. When doing my resume, do I consolidate the two entries and just list the dates I attended, or do I keep them separate and list them twice? For the record, I maintain both a functional style resume and a chronological style resume.

Can you be registered in two universities at the same time?

You can be registered at two universities at the same time if 1) you were accepted by both 2) they are close by or you can handle the distace 3) You can handle the courseload without your grades dropping 4) You have the money to pay for it yourself.

If you are getting financial aid that only covers one school. You can't get financial aid for two schools at the same time.

That being said if the university you are at has both majors why dont you double major. Or finish one degree first and then go for the other one.

Why dont you minor or major in the second sucject at the school you are currently at.

I dont know if you are being sponsored or whatever immigration calls it in order for you to study here so I dont know about if you are how that would be affected.

The BIG problem as i see it is how can u attend universities in different countries. You can't be in two places at the same time.

Can I earn two degrees at the same time?

In the past, having one college degree was the key to success. Just about any degree would guarantee you a high-paying job, and few people went beyond the bachelor’s level in their educational experience. However, today’s world is different. Sometimes you must have two or more degrees to secure certain jobs, especially if your degrees are very specialized or in a narrow field. You can earn more than one degree at the same time if you work with your college advisor to structure your classes so that you earn sufficient credit for both degree requirements. There are many people who choose a dual major to make them more marketable in their chosen job fields. For example, a teacher may already know that he or she is going to teach history at the high school level, and may decide that a dual major in education and history would be more impressive to potential employers. If this is the case, it is not difficult to see why a student might find it worthwhile to pursue both degrees simultaneously. There are many examples of fields in which a dual major may give you more return on your educational investment than a single degree. Accounting, business, and finance are all areas where dual majors are prevalent, as are education, health care, and management. In fact, almost any “general” degree can be paired with a more specific one that will enhance the main degree and give it more support.

Can someone get two graduation degree at same time?

Well, Candidates should not be allowed to undertake two regular degrees at the same time as per University Grants Commission (UGC) IT IS NOT POSSIBLE.Now, Coming to answer part,If you do one distance and other class room program then that could work. Two degrees are allowed but not in regular mode.A student can enrol for one postgraduate diploma and one diploma/certificate, one diploma and one certificate, two postgraduate diplomas, two diplomas and two certificate courses. These varied choices of combination to pursue dual degrees/ diplomas will ensure that in a short time, students can make the most of their distance education. Since distance education anyway leaves the student with the flexibility and freedom to pursue their course as per their will and comfort, and that leaves the student with a lot of time to pursue other things. This move will ensure that students are able to utilise their free time and pursue more degrees, adding more skills and learning way more than in a single degree.

Is it legal to pursue two degrees simultaneously (one regular and the other in distance education) from different universities? And if I have done so, will both of the certificates be valid together?

Most of the people might think that its its illegal to pursue two degrees simultaneously and the person is too dumb too ask such a question here but let me tell you, the answer is actually YES. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has finally given the go-ahead to students to pursue two degree courses simultaneously.Giving in to long-standing demands from universities and students, the apex higher education regulator, at a meeting on July 31,2013 decided to accept its expert panel's recommendations on permitting pursuit of an additional degree programme. This will allow students enrolled in a regular full-time degree programme to pursue one more additional degree programme simultaneously on open/distance learning mode from the same university or another institution. A student pursuing a regular degree will also be allowed to pursue an additional certificate/diploma/advanced diploma/PG diploma programme simultaneously either in regular or open/distance mode from the same university or another institution. The UGC expert panel headed by Dr Furqan Qamar, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Hyderabad, had made these recommendations "in view of the changing scenario and flexible guidelines". Saying that "more choices to the students need to be given", the panel was of the view that joint degree programmes need to be encouraged by the UGC.UGC Chairman Prof Ved Prakash said the idea was to allow new opportunities to students who wish to expand their skill set and have the will to stretch themselves beyond their comfort zones. Universities have been asked to modify their ordinances to facilitate the joint degree programmes.Currently, no student in India can legally pursue more than one degree simultaneously either from the same institution or from any other institution. The restriction is applicable irrespective of the mode of pursuing degrees — open/distance learning/part-time/private or full time. To ensure compliance, students are required to submit in the original the migration certificate issued by the previous institute. While there has been a lot of interest to pursue two or more degree programmes simultaneously to help students improve their knowledge, skill and employability, the present UGC guidelines are silent about the pursuit of a certificate/diploma course alongside a degree programme.Disclaimer: The above information is specific to Indian universities only.Source:http://archive.indianexpress.com...

Is it possible to get 2 degrees, in the same major, but two different concentrations?

(in the U.S.)

I was wondering if it's possible to get two bachelor's degrees in the same field but in two different concentrations, assuming I do the requirements for both?

I.E. Political Science major with a concentration in International Relations, also another in Public Administration

Can you get two bachelors degrees at the same time?

No, it doesn't usually take 8 years to finish two bachelor's degrees or a double major. It might take 6 though but can be done in 5 - it WILL take 5 years minimum to get two bachelor's degrees. You could do this double major (if allowed by your school) in less than 5 years (maybe in 4) but that's not two bachelor's degrees it's one degree with two majors.

The reason is that all of those general ed courses will apply to both degrees the same way an associates degree applies to a bachelor's degree. Once you take Freshman composition, you don't take it again to get another degree. Some of the major courses for these two are going to overlap as well. The only way you'd need four years for each is if none of the courses from the first one were applicable to the second - that's just not very likely.

To get the second degree you simply have to complete all of the courses required for the degree that you haven't completed already. I suspect that more than 3/4 of your pair of degrees is an overlap. Then, you have to meet the second degree rules of your college which usually require 1) the degrees be in different areas and 2) you complete 30-45 hours in the second degree that weren't included in the first (or 30-45 hours more than the first required). That's generally about 150 hours and takes about 5 years to complete.

[note: the difference between a double major and dual degrees is that required extra 30-45 hours; a double major doesn't require anything more than what the major requires while a dual degree has a minimum hour requirement whether you need the courses or not.]

If Electronics Engineering and Computer Science are in the same department at your school then they may not consider them sufficiently "in a different area" to allow a second degree at the same level. Isn't the combination of those two Computer Engineering?

Some cons to this idea. There's no financial aid available for getting a second bachelor's degree - you pay the whole bill. When they're very close in subject, there's no vocational value if employers consider them the same. A second bachelor's degree takes about the same amount of time to get as a master's degree - a master's degree is usually much more valuable. Some schools won't award two degrees at the same level and most won't award a third; if you get two now and decide later you'd like a degree in another subject then you might be out of luck.
