What books have you read in 2016?

I’d like to think of myself as somewhat of an avid reader, but tend to struggle with finding (making) the time to read as much as I would like. That being said, 2016 has been one of the better years. I used to mainly read fiction but have recently become more interested and invested in books on leadership, management, self-improvement and startups. 2016 has basically been about that. Plus Game Of Thrones. I finally managed to finish what GRRM has been able to publish up to now.In 2016, I started cultivating a habit to ask strangers I encounter in public life to recommend me one book they really loved. There’s a lot in the list below that I read because they were suggested to me and every single one of them is just that little more special because it reminds me of those particular encounters.
