How does one implement a fundraising pledge campaign online?

Starting a campaign on a site such as ours (http://gogetfunding.com) is easy. All one needs to do is register on the site and add details of what you're raising funds for. You do need to spend some time crafting your message and you should ideally include a video to support your campaign and maximize engagement.Once the campaign has been set up, you move to the critical phase of promoting your fundraiser. We advise fundraisers to begin by sending a personal email to their nearest and dearest. The personal nature of email means that there is a high likelihood of donations. The next step is to use social media to help spread the message. These are the basics of promoting an online fundraiser. There are many other steps that one can and should use to further garner support for their cause, for example, taking the promotion offline. I am a resident of Chennai , India and i want to donate to some orphange or old age home. Can someone tell me some good organisations in chennai?

There are a lot of good organizations in Chennai. But I would recommend you to go for the ones that are a little out of Chennai. The orphanages in Chennai receive good care from donors worldwide because they are located in the city.Very recently, I along with a set of about 40 volunteers of the YRC-MIT (Youth Red Cross -MIT) visited an orphanage at a village called Anupampattu near Minjur. It is about 40Km from chennai city. The orphanage is located very much near to the Anupampattu railway station. And I was stunned when I saw the locality. The building you see in this image is the orphanage. There are 40 children ageing between 8-15 years. We spent a full day with them and we also bought some provisions, books, stationary etc. for them. The madam in charge told me that there was a difficulty in managing resources as they did not get regular donors. Follow this link .:: Motto Children's New Way ::.It would be best if you donate to such orphanages.Another such orphanage is Karunai Illam located at Madambakkam near Tambaram. I've visited this place nearly a year ago. It is a wornderful place with wonderful children. The strength was nearly 60 when I visited. Follow this link KARUNAI ILLAM - Charitable Trust..............Atheeswarar orphanage is another good orphanage located at Mudichur. My Quora profile picture is from there. They are continuously bringing together homeless children and are always in great need. Perhaps you can suggest your friends who are willing to donate. They do not have a website. You can contact them on this number 9444485491Udhavam ullangal illam is located very near to the St. Thomas mount railway station. They have another home at Maraimalai nagar near Chengalpat. They house 70 bright children at each home. You can donate books, meals, provisions etc depending on whatever you can.
