I'm trying to find out what the song is for the opening scene in The Beverly Hillbillies movie. NOT the sitcom, the movie made in 1993. It starts off with some scenic shots of the Ozarks, and tapers off when Ellie May (sp?) shoos away the bear. My dad asked me to look it up for him, but I'm having a hard time finding it. Last night, I asked Alexa to take me through Arijit Singh songs and for the first time I paid attention to the opening tune of Ik Vaari Aa. Preetam, being Preetam, MUST have “been inspired” for this music from some English song, I wondered. And the tune sounded familiar. Then began my search, including this post of yours. But i wasn't satisfied.So, I went down scrolling through all the possible songs in my playlist because I was dead sure that I've heard the original. I also considered Coldplay as my first option and then Avicii. Ink by Coldplay has a slight similarity with this song, but… something even closer to the opening tune of Ik Vaari Aa was Sunset Lover by Petit Biscuit. There are two versions, original and reprise.
