Opinions On The Names Allie

Is it stupid to name boy and girl twins Al and Allie?

Nah.  Alberto and Allison? Alejandro and Allegra?  Alfred and Allanis?  Alessandro and Alyssa?  Solid.  They're twins - nobody would be shocked that their names were so similar.   And you can tell anyone who tells you your kids' names are stupid to bugger off.  (Keep that in mind if you are not the parent of Al and Allie.)

What do you think about the name Allie?

i need to know. how would you feel if this was your name? what do you think about this name? what would you rather your name be 'allie' or 'allison'? or allison but nickname, allie?

What do you think of the name Allie?

I'm just wondering what other people think of the name. Is there any spellings you like better and do you think it's a good name by itself or should it be short for something? I want your full opinion!

Opinions on the name Alexandria (Alexandra)?

Just need some opinions on this name. I like how it has a strong elegance to it, but you can also have a nickname from it, like something as sweet as the name Ali (Allie). I would also like some suggestions on which spelling, and what middle name could possibly be paired with it.

Thank you!

What is a pretty middle name for Allie?

Allie is a nice nick-name...I would go with something like:

1.Alexandria Leigh
2.Alexandria Michelle
3.Alexandria Danielle
4.Alexa Leigh
5.Alexa Michelle
6.Alexa Danielle...and call her Allie for short.

What are some cute nicknames for Allison? What are some middle names that go well?

My name is Allison and I go by Alli. I've also been called Al, Alli-gator, alley-cat, Alli Baba, and Alli Ballie. My middle name is Hope, but I feel like it only flows well if you say Allison rather than Alli. So I would consider the possible nicknames that you might call your child before you think of a middle name. Good luck!

What are some middle names to go with the girl name allie?

Allie MArie sound adorable!

What are good nicknames for Alicia if I want a stage name?

Not sure why you don’t want to use your real name, but there are lots of reasonable explanations. So…Burnett’s suggestion of Ali for Ali McGraw is a good one; I was going to say that Allie is an easy choice but that it really depends on the sound and feel you’re going for.If you’d like a less common/more classic name than Allie, try Celia or Lily/Lili/Lilli/Lillie. Callie. Cara. Ciara/Kiara. Coco (especially if you’re into Chanel). Maybe Alice, or Lia/Lea/Leah.Something that’s easy to holler across a room? Ali/Allie, Lily, Alice work. Celia and Callie and Lia and the like get more drawn out.A cute name? Cici, Lili, Allie, Kiki, other repeated/semi-repeated syllables will do that.A more classically dramatic name? Make it longer and more old-fashioned. Cassandra, Alessandra, Sandrine, Clementine, etc. Aaliyah. Talia.More unisex/ambiguous? Alix/Alex, Al, Cal, Pat, Jojo.Based on your looks? Red/Rusty (if you have red hair and want to be known for that), Dusty (ditto, but dirty-blonde or light brown hair), Blue (eyes). You could also choose a name having to do with an interest or hobby of yours: Jett (you like planes), Cap (you want to be a captain in the military or really admire Captain America), Kal (Superman fan), Curry (Aquaman fan or you cook/eat a lot of Indian or Vietnamese food with curry), Maria (for ballerina Maria Tallchief), etc.Whatever you’re considering, the most important aspects of your stage name are:You can spell it correctly (consistently!)You can pronounce itYou like the way it looks and sounds enough to have it for - potentially - the rest of your life, if it sticks, or at least a lot of years (Prince, Sean Combs, and some other really famous people change their nicknames periodically and manage just fine)It doesn’t turn other people (casting directors, for instance) off to the point that they don’t want to be bothered with it - for example, something so bizarre and made-up that it’s a mess, like Char’liea-nnaI’d avoid hopeful nicknames like Lucky; they might backfire or get made fun of if you don’t really fit or live up to them.
