Opinions on the boys name Marcus?
Marcus is a good name. Definitely classic and masculine, yet fairly underused. BQ - I like the name, but don't LOVE it, so I would use it as a middle name if I used it at all. However, it works well as a first or middle name. I like Marcus Alexander and Oliver Marcus from your list, depending on whether you want Marcus to be the first or middle name (however, I think Oliver Marcus flows best. I personally am not a huge fan of Marcus Gabriel, or Ivan Marcus, but Gideon Marcus also works) Other ideas: Marcus William/William Marcus Marcus Jonathan/Jonathan Marcus Marcus Elliott/Elliott Marcus Marcus Dexter/Dexter Marcus Marcus Nathaniel/Nathaniel Marcus BTW -- Emmett Nicholas is a gorgeous name, and I think Oliver Marcus, or Marcus ____ would be a great brother name. The last name is Smith... Girls- Ashlynn Harlo Ariel Elizabeth Brelynn Grace As for boys names i am completely stumped. my boyfriend is from texas and was thinking something southern such as Jedson of Llewelyn, but im not to keen on those names.. I love the middle name Kingly for a boy. Not sure on first names. Something unique that not many people have. So i need opinions ob the girls names and so ideas for a boy.. thanks!

Shannon became popular in the 1940s. It's an Irish name and believed to have originated from the Shannon river, which is the longest river in Ireland. It was originally common as a boys name but is now more known in the US as a girls name. Personally I like the name. If you are considering it for a child be sure to say it out loud with the child's middle and surname to ensure that it flows. Also say it with out the middle name as this is how most people will address the child. Lastly check the initials.
