Opinions on the girl's name Fiona?
Love it! What for her middle name? Back in my day of having kids (1970s) it was normal to only have first names for girls... will I wasn't going to have any of that and neither was my hubby! We had 4 girls but no boys. All 4 have first and middle names for various reasons. One reason we didn't think of but it materialized was that of letting them decide which name they wanted for school. One daughter changed several times but that is ok, we wanted them all to be happy. So one thing I liked was that of "one syllable and two syllable" example: Deja Rain or Gigi Mejon.

My mother in law came up with it. My name is Brittanee and my husbands is Michael. She took the ee from my name and the chael from Michael's and came up with Chaelee How would you pronounce that? I see it as Shay-Lee. In which case I prefer the spelling Shaelee. What do you think of this name? Better for a first name or middle name?

The last name is Smith... Girls- Ashlynn Harlo Ariel Elizabeth Brelynn Grace As for boys names i am completely stumped. my boyfriend is from texas and was thinking something southern such as Jedson of Llewelyn, but im not to keen on those names.. I love the middle name Kingly for a boy. Not sure on first names. Something unique that not many people have. So i need opinions ob the girls names and so ideas for a boy.. thanks!

Hmmm. Interesting answers and comment streams …Checking the significance of the name in mythology, astronomy and astrology may not be a bad idea. For instance, the North Star is found in Gemini and has the combined qualities of Saturn and Venus astrologically - does any of that have any meaning for you? If not it doesn’t matter, but if it does it’s worth finding out more. Googling “Polaris in astrology” brings up plenty of links. Astronomically Polaris is part of the Ursus Minor constellation, the Little Bear. If you believe in spirit animals, will hers be a Polar Bear? That’d be one hell of a protective spirit for her!Unfortunately the first word that came to my mind was ‘Polaroid’. Then I realised it’s the sort of nickname I’d have given a girl called Polaris at school if I didn’t like her for some reason, which says more about my memories of nasty little schoolgirls than about the name. With kids as sexually sophisticated as they can be today, would she get called Pole Dancer perhaps?Otherwise it’s a very cool, strong name. If I lived in a community where cool, strong names are accepted and my daughter’s not going to stick out like a sore thumb because she’s “that kid with the weirdo name - she’s gotta be a retard” (taking into account that kids are far crueler than adults), I’d go for it.Polaris for a girl, Solaris for a boy! Opinion on Memphis as a baby girl's name...?
My husband and I are expecting our first child, a girl, next month and are having trouble picking out a name. My husband likes the name Memphis. I like the name, but I wanted to see what others thought about it and what your ideas for a middle name would be. Any insight or help would be appreciated :)
