Buying a prom dress from amazon!! Help!!?
I have a theory that goes like this- you can get a ton of wonderful pre-selected things from eBay, and know they are not only decent, but priced well. For the risk you would take getting a new dress from China, you might just find a similar dress at any Goodwill a bit after prom season, or on eBay - because no one wears these things twice, and they're all expensive. You can very often find the one you want, or something similar, for a lower price that has been to one prom and now needs a new home. You'd know it's a name brand or at least something that lasted through one night, because someone was willing to wear it and it wasn't tossed aside or returned. The garment industry makes a lot of garbage- but the stuff that gets resold is usually the stuff someone actually liked. Look on Ebay or even at the local Goodwill, Salvation Army or formal resale shop nearby. For what you are considering paying, you could be out the money and not have anything to wear. If you know what you want, you should be able to find it on eBay for around that or less. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Dresses-/63861/i... make sure you do your search with "item location" on US. That will usually only give you US sellers, and not China. You can pretty much anything there- because everyone wants a pretty dress for prom.

Is amazon ok to buy homecoming dresses from?
I find a lot of dresses on there for really, really cheap. Like for instance I found a beautiful dress that on other websites costs around $300 but on Amazon it was like $40 and as much as I would love to get my dream dress for that cheap it just seems too good to be true. Is there some kind of catch? I don't mind wearing used but I don't want to be scammed and never recieve my dress and I dont want it to come torn or stretched out or dirty. Thanks for any info :)

I get a alot of my stuff from amazon. I love it. Never have I gotten clothes though because you can't be too sure of the fit once you get to try it on. I would say order it in advance, try it on, if it doesn't fit, return it (know the return policy before you buy). Or just find something similar in stores.

You will also pay for duty and vat. I live in trinidad and use aeropost.com. I think you can sign up on the website and get a US address to ship to.

When do they stop selling prom dresses in stores?
Hello guys My daughter has her prom in early July and wants to go to the States to purchase it. I'm not sure if I should send her as early as April or as late as June. I can't order it online since we're unsure as to if she'll like the fit. So doe anyone know when they take prom dresses off the floor? Thank you.
