Overpaid For Not Clocking Out.

Overpaid for not clocking out.?

I recently looked at my Walmart pay stub for my check that is being deposited this week. The stub says I worked a total of 55 hours. I only worked 45, I'm sure that I forgot to clock out one day after work, and forgot to adjust it afterwords. I don't know if this is really serious on my part or not. I'm calling my manager first thing in the morning. Does anyone have any experience with this happening, especially at Walmart. I feel like its going to be to late to change the amount because the banks already received the amount of deposit they just haven't posted all the Walmart employee's paycheck.

Forgot to clock out.. what could happen?

wait... your friend was overpaid and is contemplating keeping the money?

Tell your friend she needs to give the money back and that companies don't value dishonest people. The "it was your mistake" or "oops, I didn't notice" excuse wouldn't fly with me if I were her manager and found out my employee was grossly overpaid and didn't say a word... especially since it was HER ERROR in not clocking out appropriately that caused the overpayment!!!

do the right thing.

Should I fight my speeding ticket.?

I live in NJ and I was driving through upstate NY, about 4 hours away from where I live. The state trooper said I was doing 85 in a 65 mph zone. I don't dispute that I was speeding, but I don't think I was doing 85. He said he got my speed on laser at a distance of 2519 feet as well as direct observation. I had just came over a hill and he said he observed me at exit 27, which was on the other side of the hill. I think he tagged team with another officer because he wasn't sitting there on the side of the road. He was driving in the opposite direction and made a u-turn to chase after me. I am a NJ resident, so the points will be lowered since the violation was in NY. It was also during the holiday weekend, so I'm sure they were busy giving out lots of speeding tickets that day. And since I live so far away, I'm sure they expect me to just mail in the fine. Any advice would be appreciated.

I also read that if I plea guilty, I should overpay the fine and not cash in the check when they send me the difference. This will keep the case open and preventing them from reporting the violation. Is that true?
