I'm a 23 year old girl, but I don't feel my age. People say that I'm very childish in many ways. How can I become mature and an adult?

It's ok to be childlike, but not childish. There's a difference in both the words. If you are childlike, meaning to say that you have the nature of a child, you have the simplicity and innocence of a child, these are good traits. But looking at the practical life, you should be matured enough to understand and judge situations from the view of a grown-up as well. Don't worry much about this. It will come with time and experiences. Just try to be a keen observer and if you have a role model at home, any elder of yours, you can observe their actions, and their way of handling situations.Don't let the child die inside you.On the other hand childish nature refers to a negative trait. It implies a grownup intentionally trying to behave like a child, which becomes irritating to the eye of all. People denote such actions as "nautanki", "over-action" etc in the local languages. So if you have childishness, it's really high time to check your actions and tantrums. Just see when people (only your well wishers like close friends and family) tell you that you are childish and accordingly rectify your actions the next time a similar situation arises.Good Luck!
