Paddle Boarding And Legs Hurting Connection

What are ideal condition to ride longboard surfing. wave size?

Somebody gave you some bad information. When I started surfing in 1966, there wasn't anything else but longboards. And, these were not the modern longboards with all of the modern design features, lighter materials and improved fin systems, they were logs. And guys surfed some VERY VERY BIG waves on them. Look at the picture on the link, and then read a little about some of the surfing legends. In the past few years, I have ridden my 9'4" on several overhead days, and had a blast doing it. http://www.legendarysurfers.com/surf/leg...

Scary situation for me this morning, Dog Sectioners.?

I would have the vet keep her for observation -- pheobarbatol is the usual medication for siezures. The question is why she's having them.

I'd contact her breeder and also the pug club of ameria to find out more.

I did find this on the pug club of america, please take it to your vet:

How do I teach myself paddleboarding?

As others have said the most important thing is to just get out there and do it, you’ll naturally find a knack for it. We tend to sometimes make a mountain out of a mole hill and overwhelm ourselves by making something much more difficult than it is..It is best to first go out with an experienced partner, each taking a separate board and having them guide you and show you the ropes. You could always try to strengthen your core beforehand and work on your balance too which will always help you with standing on a board once you get out there. Also don’t stress yourself out, this is supposed to be fun! We all learn at different rates, so if you don’t pick it up straight away don’t worry about it, keep your head up, and keep at it and you’ll get noticeably better pretty quickly. The problem many people have is trying to force themselves to stand up to quickly and falling off, try just sitting on the board first wrapping your legs up over each side and getting up on your knees, once you feel comfortable slowly try to stand up, if you don’t get it the first time, try, try, and try again. You’ll get this, and check out this link as well, I hope I was able to give you a better idea and make you more comfortable getting out there.Paddle Boarding for Beginners

Can I go running with an ACL tear in the left leg?

You see this guy? His name is Chris Joslin. He’s a pro skateboarder. He’s doing this trick with a torn ACL.If you wanted to, you certainly could run with your torn ACL. You could even try to jump down this gap. However, your ACL, the central stability component of your leg, is torn. While it is loose, it is unstable. Your body will be using all other muscles to compensate and this will have long term effects on your posturing, back, and knees.Personal BiasI tore my ACL in May of 2015. I thought I was just going to work through it and ignored a doctor’s visit. I was an avid runner and skateboarder who continued without restraint. However all activity was with a limp, one that didn’t go away.Over time, all my walking was a hobble. I kept the knee with the torn acl klenched at all times to offset pressure and figured it would heal itself. It didn’t.One surgery, one year of physical therapy, and a lot of Yoga later, i am still working through my intial ACL tear . Even more damaging than the ACL Tear was the hobble that I continued activity with. It strained my back and the muscles of my opposite leg . It pinched the meniscus in the knee and ultimately made a lot of walking uncomfortable in the long term.Sorry enough about me, but if I were you, I’d try to get in and see a surgeon ASAP. The ACL does not heal itself and requires surgery to correct the problem. It’s roughly $14,000 in the U.S, but can be done for as little as $1000 in places like Thailand with nice resort like hospitals. In the meanttime, STOP WALKING ON IT!I’m serious, it will mess with your posturing and you will be in physical therapy a lot longer than you’d probably like to be.As far as exercise in the meantime,I would paddle board. It will stengthen the muscles surrounding your acl without straining them and allow you to work out,THE FUTURE!You could be like Chris and plenty of others who have simply worked through the pain, kept excercising, and ignored the injury’s effect on the body. However, this injury is one I would certainly take seriously and correct asap. The effects are lasting and it can change your body forever if you don’t prioritize it.

How to administer a spanking?

I am assuming that you are asking about spanking as a punishment for a child.

I put my daughter across my lap, with her panties lowered. I use my hand to slap her bottom hard enough for her to feel a good sting with each spank. I continue for several minutes, concentrating on her lower butt cheeks. She cries, kicks her legs, and begs... I stop when I feel she has had enough.

I give her a hug... tell her that I love her... talk to her... give her privacy... talk again later, if she likes. My daughters usually take an hour or 2 to compose themselves and they need the time to think. They do not always want to talk later but sometimes they do.

Before the spanking, we always discuss the reason and they know exactly why they are getting spanked.

Why do my feet hurt when I skateboard, and how can I prevent it?

orIt's probably one of three things or a combination of all. shoes. These matter a ton, wear a shoe that fits (I would say larger is better than smaller but just get fitting. Shoes.). Also get the shoes that are meant for skating. Basically shoes with good flat grip. Next is wheels, someone gave a perfect answer about wheels so look at that but in short you want soft wheels to asborb the painful vibrations. Lastly terrain will of course matter. You can probably skate on a dirt road or through heavy snow but it's going to suck. If you somehow kept pushing I'm sure your feet will want to fall off. Good luck.Ps: if you skate for long it's going to hurt as with anything. Get stronger keep pushing.Pps: it depends on the pain but possibly take ibuprofen or something of the like. Not recommending drugs but it does help.

How do you decide what length and size of kayak paddle to use?

There are at least four variables to consider when choosing a kayak paddle.1) How wide is your kayak? 2) How tall are you from butt to top of head? 3) Does your paddling style favor a steep or shallow paddling angle? 4) How strong are you in upper body?1) The wider your kayak is, the longer paddle you will need. A person of average height in a 23-inch wide kayak might start with a 220 or a 230-centimeter paddle length.2) If you are tall with your height in your torso more than your legs, perhaps a 230 or even 240-centimeter paddle length might be appropriate. Conversely, if you are only five or five and a half feet tall, you might prefer a 210-centimeter paddle.3) Some people prefer a relaxed paddling stroke, with the paddle angled away from the side of the boat; I prefer a more aggressive style, with the paddle held nearly vertical close to the side of the boat. There are advantages and disadvantages to either style which are beyond the scope of this discussion.4) If you have the arms and shoulders for it, you can pull a big blade. But... you can go just as fast with a smaller blade! I use a relatively small blade (643 square cm) but at a faster cadence. I gain less thrust with each stroke, but take more strokes per minute. It is a personal preference, the amount of work done is the same either way.A few notes marginally related to the original question:You don't use your arms to paddle. They are there to hold the paddle in position while you rotate your torso, using those strong abdominal core muscles to pull the paddle through the water.Speed comes not from how big your blade is or how many strokes per minute you make. Speed comes from this: The amount of work that transfers from the paddle to move the boat is proportional to the square of the velocity of the paddle through the water. Pull the paddle through the water twice as fast, you put four times as much power into the boat. There's no free lunch here, you did four times as much work with that harder stroke. But if you are strong enough to combine that paddle speed through the water with a fast cadence, you are gonna be flying!

What are some ways to put things in perspective when it seems like everything is going wrong?

I can share a personal experience. One method I suggest is not to stay home and ruminate over how bad life is but to go out and do some activities and be in the arms of Mother Nature. When there was a particularly rough patch in my life, I started doing stand up paddle boarding. I had to learn to respect the elements, feel the ocean, know the wind direction, pick up the technique and all. I had a new way of understanding my situation through being out there in the ocean. When there were strong winds and currents, I had to work very hard to move. And I didn't go far. I learned that sometimes in life, it's not that we are not progressing but the opposing forces are so strong that it makes our hard efforts seem very little. But we are still making efforts and progressing!Another time, a mentor told me that two years ago, a man drowned while doing stand up paddle boarding, not very far from where we were, as he was not wearing a life jacket. He told me to respect the elements always. And learn survival skills. For my life, I learned that I too should take each challenge and the potential harm to myself seriously.I also learned that I need to train myself, in strength and technique, if I were to be able to go against the strong winds and currents. This applied to my life as well. I had to train myself to face the challenges of life. I gained a new perspective of my life through the sport. :)
