Pain In Chest And Back

Chest and back pain??????????????????????????...

You seem to be going through a lot of the same symptoms I have. I have a mild case of GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) therefore I constantly worry about everything and sometimes that makes me physically sick. Even to the point where I throw up. Also, I have acid reflux. My doctor said acid reflux goes hand in hand with anxiety because your stress has to go somewhere, and commonly people who have anxiety have acid reflux. My acid reflux causes me to have chest pain and I get constipated giving me back pain in my middle back right below my rib cage. Also, if I eat the wrong foods I have very nauseous, sometimes I feel dizzy and feel like I need to vomit.

But the good news! I take a herbal remedy called Passionflower for the anxiety and it works wonders! Completely safe with no side effects as well, it's a gift from God! And I also take prescription Prilosec for the Acid Reflux, which also works amazingly!

If you're wondering where I got the suspicion of anxiety it's because I went to doctor for chest pains- had ekg, chest scan and blood work drawn- all the tests came back negative and said i was completely healthy. My doc said I was prob having anxiety about the chest pain (acid reflux) which caused all the false accusations. I worried a lot before the passionflower.

I really hoped this helped, and I am also 19! & Keep working out, your body will soon start to show you how much it appreciates you! I work out everyday and that helps me so much!

Chest and back pain???

For around 2 months now, I have experienced left side chest pain and sometimes left arm pain (either in my shoulder or my forearm). Since one month ago, I also have had some pain in my upper back (bellow and between my shoulder blades). The pain in my chest is kinda sharp and I can localize it. Also, it doesn't get worse when i breathr. I also feel kind of dizzy or weakened sometimes. Still I have had 2 EKG-s (both normal), I went to a cardiologist (he checked me out and said my heart isn't the problem) and I have had my blood checked (normal as well). My heart rate at rest is around 56 bpm (sometimes lower, sometimes higher) but goes up normally after physical activities. I am 23 of age, I DON"T SMOKE and I am a fairly active person. My doc also said it could be something to do with my spine (due to wrong postures) but I don't know what I should do next. Any ideas?

Pain from my chest straight through to my back?

i just got this pain about a half hour ago from the middle of my chest, about where my heart is, straight through to my back. it feels like someone stabbed me in the back to my chest, but not nearly as painful as that. it is bearable, it isnt a sharp pain, but its not really dull either. Sometimes the pain decreases until its almost gone, then comes back a minute later. its more annoying than painful but im just worried that it might be something serious? im gonna go to the doctors tomorrow if it keeps hurting but i was just wondering if anyone knew anything. Thanks(:

The symptoms may vary depending on the location of the ulcer. Duodenal ulcers often cause a gnawing pain in the upper stomach area several hours after a meal, and patients can often relieve the pain by eating. Many patients also have heartburn. What causes chest pain, upper back pain and left arm pain with tingling and numbness and cold fingers?

Many a times, chest pain does not indicate a MI or cardiac arrest. Simple vitamin deficiencies can cause tingling and numbness. Wrong posture can cause tingling and numbness. Apparent, unrelated conditions like an acute gastritis or reflux esophagitis can present with chest pain/tightness too. There are multiple factors considered by the physician before giving the diagnosis, like age, sex, habits of smoking and alcohol intake, co-morbid conditions like diabetes, hypertension, family history of early age deaths due to cardiac disease.

Hiccups make chest and back hurt?

As you found out, hiccups involve more than just the stomach, sometimes they can work other parts of the body. What you are feeling is in effect, you had a several hour or day work-out with these muscle groups and now they hurt.

Take some pain reliever or take a nice hot shower. The pain will go away in a few days.

It's interesting, like when I pull a muscle in my hip area, it hurts to reach for something, because of the way the muscle groups are attached and function, mostly to keep you sitting upright.

The muscles in your back balance and pull to keep you from falling back, while the ones in front pull and balance so you don't fall forward. Simplified, of course.

What can cause a pulsating chest pain?

This depends on how strong, how often and in what circumstances the symptom is felt. It also depends on the exact location of the pain. The chest is pretty large. Always be specific about symptoms, even more when relating to a structure containing multiple organs such as the chest. A myocardial infarction can come with a pulsating chest pain. But there is also a large number of conditions associated with pulsating chest pain that are not life-threatening.Also, consider checking whether the patient ever received any form of thoracic surgery, no matter how far back in time.Last but not least: Cardiac dysautonomia. This could be due to one or more lesions to the part of the parasympathetic system innervating the heart. Hard to diagnose.
