I have lower back pains, right side pains, pains in right butt cheek down to right leg. What could it be?

It does sound like a bulging disc and sciatica. I have suffered from this for over 20 years. Go to the Doctors or emergency ward at the hospital. They will order Xrays to determine the real cause. Tylenol 3's and anti-inflamatories are the usual medicines prescribed both for the pain and to reduce the inflamation. Complete bed rest is usually the only cure. Lay on your back with pillows under your legs so that your back is straight...this takes the pressure off from the affected disc. You can use ice or a heating pad. I find a heating pad offers the best relief. If you find ice more effective use a bag of frozen peas or corn. Sounds silly but it works. One consequence of repeated disc flareups is often arthritis in your back and permanet nerve damage , both of which I have developed and I find heat gives me the most comfort and relief. Please see your Doctor without delay because this can become a chronic condition if not dealt with in it's earlier stages. Do not do any heavy lifting and really pay attention to the way you move...no sudden or jerky moves. I am now on a disability because of this condition and am not allowed to lift more than 3 pounds, cannot sit or stand for any length of time and cannot work. If it is in fact disc problems you are suffering from, it can be treated or repaired if diagnosed before further damage is done to your back, however if left it will often cause the adjoining discs to deteriorate as well and can become a chronic condition. You should see a doctor as soon as possible. Hope this helps and good luck.

Lower right side back/hip pain??

On Saturday night I noticed that my lower back on the right side started hurting a little bit. It didn't really bother me too much that night other than having a stomach ache. Then on Sunday I woke up and standing up and walking was painful. I can walk fine and everything on my left hand side of my body, but I have to limp on my right side because it hurts to put too much pressure on my right leg/hip/lower back. Today while I was at work, and right now while I'm sitting here at the computer, there is pain in my whole lower back, and oddly enough, it kind of feels like back labor pains. But when I stand up, its still only my right side that is in extreme pain.

I am a healthy 22 year old single mom. I haven't done anything strenuous lately. There is polysystic kidney disease in my family, but I don't think this is in relation to that.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this? Or how to help relieve the pain??

What could pain on the right side lower back, just below rib cage, be caused by?

I've had pain in my lower back for a long time. both sides but normaly the right, just below my rib cage. It doesn't hurt when im still but if I move it hurts. Trying to get up from the floor or a low seated position is very painful. If I twist or bend the wrong way it takes my breath away. A sit up is imposible and I wouldn't even attempt it. laying flat on my back hurts. as well as flat on my stomach. Nothing has helped and its been going on a long long time. I see doctors all the time. I am asking on here to get some different ideas...hopefully. Could it be kidneys or liver? It also hurts when I push that area just below my ribs to the right of my spine. doing that even gave me the chills last night. I do seem to use the bathroom a lot at night. Ill have to go real bad, then when I do its not much. Then 10 mins later same thing. countless times some nights. any help is greatly appreciated!!

Internal pain in lower right side abdominal area and lower back?

Today my side and back suddenly started aching very intensely. I'd never felt this kind of pain before. It wasn't a stomach ache and it didn't make me feel nauseous but it didn't feel like external pains either. The intense pain dulled down after I had about a four hour nap today but it still aches and I can still feel it. I'm worried the intense pain will resurface. The only way I can describe this feeling, was that it was an external pain to an internal organ, like someone was using an organ in my lower right side as a punching bag or squeezing it. The pain is also in my back though, so I don't understand this. I'm not very informed on the human body; is there a particular organ in your lower right side that can affect you like this?
