Pain in my left hand/palm?

I am having some pain in my left hand/palm. It's mostly in between my thumb and my wrist. Last night i gave myself a hand rub, and when my hand was relaxed i couldn't even move my thumb. I can move it now, but it does still hurt.
I am right handed and do nothing but type with my left hand. Can this be a sign of carpal tunnel? If so, what can i do to make the pain go away. Sometimes i can't even hold things with my left hand or if for example i have to staple something it's very painful for me to do it with my left hand. I've actually dropped the stapler sometimes.
Should i see a doctor? If so...what kind of doc? An orthopedic?
Thank you

My hand hurts? Well my palm...?

Im 16, and the palm of my hand hurts by my thumb, well i call it your chicken drumstick becasue if you look at your thumb being the bone and there's that muscle that follows it down onto your palm, I don't do too much typing, but i'm left handed and its the left hand that hurts. I haven't done anything obvious to hurt it or anything and i've had the pain before, well a few times but not like "once a day" or whatnot.
Also, not sure if this is related but half way between your wrist and your elbow, on the inside, i've got a twinging pain there too!
I've heard of Carpel Tunnel but isn't that syndrome usually in older people (50+?)
Anyhelp as to what this mysterious pain is will be muchly appreciated!!

I punched a wall and now the palm of my hand hurts and the pain shoots up into the middle of my arm. This happens when I move my hand/wrist certain places. What should I do?

Q: I punched a wall and now the palm of my hand hurts and the pain shoots up into the middle of my arm. This happens when I move my hand/wrist certain places. What should I do?First, Stop picking fights with walls! They’re bigger, stronger and tougher than you, and they never lose in a fistfight. If you’re in the USA, and can’t afford to go to see a Doctor, maybe you could get an ambulance chasing lawyer to sue the builder, and become independently wealthy.Otherwise, Suck it up, Buttercup.

Why do I have extreme pain in the heals and hand palm?

This is because you have a condition called ‘oaking’. It’s where you grow additional limbs made from oak through your hands and feet, thus becoming treebeard. You’re welcome.

Sharp pains in my hand?

Okay im a 16 year old girl and in the middle of the night last night i started having this small pain in the middle of my palm on my left hand. (which i write with), the pain was random it would just shoot pain really quick and then go away. I woke up this morning and it was doing the same thing. The pinky side of my hand down to my wrist started feeling all tingly when i brushed it up against something and it still does, and the pain in my hand is still there its just it's a dull pain all the time, and sometimes it will shoot pain that will go into the pinky side or far side of my hand/wrist, the Thumb side is perfectly fine, and the tingly feeling is also in my arm up to my elbow. I can still move my hand and whatnot it doesn't hurt to do things it just hurts in general. I'm trying to figure out what is causing it and how to make it stop. Please help. Thank you.
