Pakistan Is It True That People Of Pakistan Used To Be Mostly Untouchable Hindus Before

Are Indians, pakistanis and Bangladeshis basically the same people ethnically? They have similar culture too?

India- Technically speaking its a democracy and secular country. We have all religions like christanity, buddism, jews, jains, zorastrians, sikhs etc. Even in a hindu majority country we have the world's second largest muslim population in India and we respect all religions. Before brits, muslims ruled over centuries on most parts of India, bcos of which we took lots of things from them like arrange marriages and food. India was a sexually very liberal country(kamasutra) untill muslims ruled over centuries making it a sexually deprived nation.

Pakistan and Bangladesh-Pakistan is mostly military rule. Politically very unstable like a dictator ruled country. Religiously both Pakistan and Bangladesh are Islamic and do not tolerate other religions in their country. Bangladesh and Pakistan had a war earlier. Bangladeshis even if poor I think they are much calm people and less religiously violent than Pakistan.

Culturally yes we are very similar, specially because arrange marriages and curry is popular in indian subcontinent. Religiously we are very different, since Hinduism is one of the very old religions in world. Actually Christianity and Islam have more closer roots.

Poverty in India is because of caste-ism in hindus, overpopulation, arrange marriages gradually fading and orthodox people practising religion to extreme.

Poverty in Pakistan and Bangladesh is because of religiously conservative countries, arrange marriages, opposing to westernization.

There is no perfect way to tell if he or she is from Pak or India or Bangla, but in general Pak have long big nose. Indians can be diverse depending upon where they come from North East has asian looking people, South of India has dark looking people. So you can tell a little bit.

Biggest different between India and Pak/Bangladesh is when you marry Indian HIndu you do not have to change your religion. If you marry muslim from Pak or Bangladesh you have to convert to muslim.

Dressing older generations in Pakistan and Bangladesh women they were burqa and men were kurta plain and white round hat. Whereas in India it differs from state to state coloros of dress.

No offense against anybodies religion or faith or nationality. All these countries India Pak and Bangladesh are poor and need to work on their weakness.

What do Pakistani Hindus think about India?

Lets not forget one thing... Pakistani Hindus are NOT Indian. They are every bit Pakistanis. If they feel betrayed by Indian Govt not picking up their demands and raising them in front of the world media or any particular group, then they should also remember that during the Indo-Pak partition, they were given a choice to choose the place where thy wanted to stay, either India or Pak, and they made their choice. Now no point in crying if Pakistan is indifferent to their security or well being. At max the govt can grant them refugee status and try to rehabilitate them in India, but the situation would be no different as even in India, we treat people from other states as refugees and constantly bully them for any kind of problem that we face.Alternative theory : How would us Indian Hindus feel if Pakistan was the mediator for the problems of the Indian Muslim. In many event, many prominent Muslim leaders in India have turned down offer from prominent Pakistan politicians, when they came in to advocate the conditions of the Muslims in India to the Indian Govt or world media.PS: ISI congratulated AAP leader Arving Kejiriwal on winning the elections and also told him to look up for the rights of the "Minorities" (Read that as the Muslims in Delhi). That stunt by ISI was condemned by all Hindus and most Muslims people living in India. This proves that we are also not ready either way.

Is it true that in Pakistan, non -Muslims (Christians, Hindus and Sikhs) are forced to do menial jobs such as sweepers and cleaners even though they are highly qualified?

We need to look at this issue considering history. Original inhabitants of India are the “Dravidians” or “Drawarr: on local language. The outsiders like “Brahmins”(one perception is that Brahmins are the decendants of Abraham (the Prophet peace be upon him. The Drawars were made the slaves and later merged into Hindu religion giving them a permanent low caste status (now known as “Shudras”, the untouchables). Mostly in India these Shudras ate considered by Hindus as untouchables. The Shudras, in order to get a better place in society converted to other religions especially Christianity, but remained attached to their previous profession of Bhangi (sewerage cleaners). Since they did not have the opportunities to get better skills and education, they remained in their profession. Now in Pakistan, many of the Christians are developing in other fields especially education. Many prestigious institutions like F.C. College University, Kinnaird College, Sacred Heart, Convent of Jesus and Mary are owned and managed by Christians.F.E. Chaudry (a teacher) and his son Squadron Leader Cecil Chaudhry; Sitara e Jurrat (2nd highest gallantry award in Pakistan) are just two names of Christian community. I have many personal friends from respectable professions, many students belong to christian community. we often celebrate Christmas with them as they do on the occasions of Eid.In the nutshell, there is no bar on the Christians or Hindus etc. to grow, availing the opportunities equally available to all. Please note that millions of children are out of school in spite of efforts and growth in Pakistan, and most of the “out of school” children are Muslims. So, the lack of opportunity is due to scarcity of resources equally for Muslims and other religions.

How many Hindus currently live in Pakistan?

Before independence Hindu population was nearly 14.6% . but in recent census in Pakistan the data is fallen in massively to 1.6%.Reason or fator responsible for low Hindu population are -:They are treated as second class citizen. They are brutally ignored.Muslim get special category rebate instead of Hindu in Pakistan government job.Muslim always do roit and do rape with innocent girl of Hindu.( I know a journalist who's Hindu in Pakistan through Facebook who told me what Pakistani Muslim do with Hindu and why they are destroying Hindu population from Pakistan. They destroy temple and even Hindu are not allow to use sound box system like they used In India in their marriage ceremony or in party.)Muslim force Hindu to change their Religion to Muslim and they do this forcefully. They brutally rape innocent Hindu girl in Pakistan.I don't hate any religion I love humanity because that's my religion.Refugee but better than terrorist. In India, Muslims are treated with much respect, they are given fair opportunity and have representation in government jobs. But in Pakistan, Hindus are treated as untouchables. Pakistan has always been a country that looked alien to us, but India feels home.Bhagi DeviThis is the thinking of cheap mental people. They talk about humanity wtf.#Sorry I don't want to hurt anyone but accept humanity instead of bad religious practice.Bring peace and prosperity in the world……..

Did Hindus decline as a percentage of the population in Pakistan post-independence? If yes, why? Muslims have a higher rate of population growth in India because they have a higher percentage of poor. It is unlikely to be the case in Pakistan, no?

No.At the time of independence, Pakistan did have 12.9% and present number is nearly 2%. But, you forget one important thing-Pakistan had two parts at time of the partition, namely East and West Pakistan.East Pakistan, which is now Bangladesh, had a higher number of Hindus - hence, raising the entire country's Hindu population percentage. Individual percentages of Hindu population was 22% and 2% for the East and West respectively with the combined percentage being around 12%. When Bangladesh gained independence, the percentage of modern-day Pakistan fell to 2% as would be case since the Hindus in East Pakistan became citizens of Bangladesh.Proof time! What follows are excepts from foreign books for the 1951 Consensus of Pakistan.Source: A Survey of Pakistan Society, 1956 by Maron, Stanli.Source: Pakistan - A compendium, 1961 by Platt, Raye Roberts. Now, I'm not trying to downplay the discrimination faced by the minorities. Yes, Hindus are persecuted, but the numbers are way, way off to account for that - we are talking about something at a genocidal level, perhaps even the biggest of its kind. There is a difference between fact and fiction and we should keep it that way.

How was Gandhi able to remove the British without using guns?

Gandhi was effective for two reasons. First, the protests which Indians engaged in undercut British claims to be just and benevolent rulers. These peaceful protests ended up showing the violence which underpinned the British imperial system. Second, they were aimed to just make India ungovernable. The imperial Indian government simply couldn't go on as it had without cooperation
