Yes, it WILL be able to play the game. Use Bootcamp because Parallels Desktop is virtualization software which means Windows will not run smoothly. Although running Bootcamp and installing Windows on a seperate partition will cause Windows to run smoothly. Therefore letting the game run smoothly.

I’m using Parallels (Windows 10) on a 2017 Macbook Air base variant (8B RAM, 128GB SSD, i5 5350u) at the time of writing this reply. So, I’ll share my experience with you.It runs smoothly and doesn’t really stutter. I use it largely for firing up Power BI with both Windows and Mac-based Excel versions. So, the workload gets heavy from time to time but the machine pulls the load nicely.However, that doesn’t mean that performance is buttery smooth and everything is roses and sunshine. When I’m running Parallels with Power BI and both Excels (windows and Mac), the MBA gets noticeably slow, but just short of stuttering.For instance, I can’t launch more than 8–10 tabs in Safari otherwise it starts to lag. Not to mention, it’s able to run Power BI but the performance is slow. It can sometimes take 10+ seconds to run a basic query which otherwise takes 2–3 seconds on dedicated Windows machines. I’ve noticed a similar thing with Excel.So, coming to the conclusion, if you need to use Parallels for short bursts of time and the workload isn’t really CPU or graphics intensive (like Adobe Premiere), then a MacBook Air should be able to pull its weight. It won’t be speedy, but it won’t stutter and lag so easily either.However, if you need to use your machine as a desktop and want buttery smooth performance in both Mac and Parallels Windows, then I would recommend going for a MB Pro. Personally, I’m waiting for Apple to release its new MacBook Pros with 8th gen chips to make the upgrade, and until then, I’ll be firing up Parallels on the MacBook Air.Hope it helped.Piyush

so i downloaded the free trial version that lasts 14 days for parallel on my mac. and after that, i downloaded maplestory from the official website, and then after that was down downloading, i went to the offiial website and pressed the play button. I thought it would work, but instead, this pop up window showed up and it said something like it couldnt run on a virtual processor or something? why isnt it working? i thought that if you used parallels, that it would work... or does it not?

It's free for personal use and it offers many different Android versions to be installed. If you are only going to play Android games, http://bluestacks.com may be good way to go.

Parallels Desktop is always one of the first products to be updated for new releases of macOS even before they are released. Parallels is definitely Mojave ready so you should have no problems upgrading.
