What happens if I buy a stolen car?
i’ll tell you what happened to a friend of mine. His car was stolen. And after filing a police case to no avail..a few weeks later he spots his car on olx in a few cities away. So he rushes there to find his car in a used car lot. What the lot owner said was a person came in with the required papers and sold the car to him. When police tracked the seller .turns out he bought it from another individual ( the thief) but sold it later on as the mods on the car weren’t to his taste. Now what happened to the car? my friend drove his car back home. ( maybe some greasing with the authorities took place for them to release the car quick ) the lot owner was to file a police case and wait for the court to pass a sentence. So in the end the lot owner was screwed. So ideally if YOU buy a stolen car and have proof you haven’t stolen it.. your still screwed.
