Pc Build Or Buy An Already Made One

Should I build a gaming pc or buy one?

Well I am not really in to gaming I do love playing games but I am not hard core I just wanna play some games like planetside 2 or total wars games maybe battle field games not to much tho so I am thinking of buying one but one of my friends says it better to build one but I don't really have the time and I never done it should just buy one from costco or something ?

Should I build my own Gaming PC or buy one?

I am wanting to get a gaming PC to record HD captures from my XBox 360 & One. I've never owned a PC before (only my laptop) and am not knowledgeable with building a PC or what the best components are to buy. Should I teach myself how to build one and do it from scratch, or would it be best to simply buy an already built gaming PC (since I am a beginner at this).

If you say build, I would love to hear what you think is a great PC build for me to use. Greatly appreciated!

Is building a PC cheaper than buying one?

Building PC is little cheaper than buying branded PC. Building your PC is very easy just like building vehicles, buildings and working robots with LEGO construction toys

You just need to buy right hardware components like processor, motherboard, RAM, hard drive, SSD (optional), graphics card (optional), PSU, computer case, CPU cooler (optional), etc. and carefully assemble them together with screwdriver
All of them are available at http://www.amazon.com/PC-Parts-Component...

The best reason to do it for yourself is you will have the piece of mind that you have quality parts in your system. Picking good hard drive, graphics card, motherboard, etc means you are less likely to have a computer failure. You will also learn something in the process and maybe help others with tech support

Airsoft: Buy pre made M4 gearbox or build my own?

IT depends on how confident you are as a tech. If you think you have the skill to make a good gearbox you can save some money depending on how good you want the gearbox to be. If it was up to me, I would totally build it just because I know which parts I like from who, and I build my gearboxes to last as long as possible. I trust my shimming and the greases I use to get a good product out. But, I have also done a few before and know how to do it. If you have worked on yours before, and it ended succesfully, then go ahead and try building it, it should turn out fine. Depending on what you did you probably almost entirly disassembled it anyway, and then put it back together.

If it were up to me, trying to get a good price, all lonex compression parts, so cylinder, cylinder head, air nozzle, piston head and piston. Always go from the same maker because they will always fit together the best. Make sure to get a SCAR specfic air nozzle and cylinder head. I would also get a sorbo-pad, preferebly a scatterplot sorbo-pad. For gears I would try to Siegtek, or prometheus. If not guarder is about half that price and still pretty good, torque gear ration if you want a rps as low as 17. Shims, bushings, spring are all not to important quality was, just dont buy crappy chinese, guarder again is pretty good .Wiring if you can get it go G&P, same with gearbox shell, but as long as it is steel you should be fine. I think all you have left is motor, which i would get a lonex torque motor.

If you want to go a middle way, you can get a guarder torque up kit or similar kit and put that in a nice steel gearbox sheel.

For a full gearbox, G&P is known for making really good gearbox, and are readily available. However, I would also consider a lower quality matrix or aps gearbox with a quick change spring system so you can change the fps as you like.

Which Pre-made PC should I buy for FFXIV?

The main thing you want to stay away from is buying a name-brand pre-made computer. Alienware might sound tempting... but don't.

The best site I've found for pre-made computers is cyberpowerpc.com. From there you choose exactly what you want and build a computer designed to do exactly what you want. My friend just did the same thing. He bought a PC from them JUST to play FFXIV. It set him back 1100 bucks but in trade he got a quad-core processer w/ 2.66GHz, 6 Gigs of RAM, a 1 gig XFX HD577AZNFC Radeon HD 5770 Video Card as well as a top notch heat sink and 6 case fans.

The only down-side is that he needed to buy a moniter seperate from the Tower itself. Otherwise it came with everything else he needed. Preloaded with Windows 7 on it's 700Gig HD.

You really can't do a lot better than that.

I can attest that after he got it up and running, the game ran as smooth as a baby's *** on high with max settings.

Does it make more sense to buy a used PC and upgrade it or build a new one?

I have purchased several desktops this year for less than $100.With a used system, you’ll be stuck with DDR3 and PCIe 2.0, but if you get a 3GHz or faster CPU like the third generation i5 3470, you will be able to juice it up by maxing out the RAM and adding a nice GTX card or a Radeon RX 400 or 500 series. You can salvage the typical 300W PSU if you stick with a low power GPU like the GT730. With a GTX 750 or a 1050 you can use the power rail of the PCIe slot, but a generic 300W PSU will probably not be adequate.Ideally, if you can spend $150 or so for a mini tower Dell, $125 for a GTX 1050 Ti and another $40 for a decent 450W PSU, you’re set.

Why is building a computer cheaper than buying it already built?

LABOR. Not surprising that you wouldn’t give credit where credit is due… when it comes to computers, this is just the way things are.You go to get your computer fixed… you expect the job to cost what you saw the price of the part go for on the internet. You do. Well… “you” in the generic sense. You being the general public. From what I’ve learned being behind the diagnostic bench for almost two decades, the general public sees their hardware problem (dead screen, dead hard drive, etc), sees the price of a hard drive or LCD screen listed somewhere, and assumes that repairing the computer with that problem only costs that much.Happens with other things. Auto repair, home repair, etc.So you are paying for the parts… and you are paying for the labor to assemble those parts, and then test the system to make sure they all work together properly. You are paying for them to install all the drivers and make the OS work the way it should with that hardware. You are paying for them to make sure that all the hardware used is good…. or to replace any defective hardware until it is all good. When you assemble it yourself, you can choose your parts based on what you have to pay, and then you don’t pay ANY labor on top. You perform the labor yourself, so you don’t have to pay for that as well as paying for the parts. It is just like going to a restaurant. You pay for the ingredients, you pay for them to be assembled, and you pay for the presentation. This is why meals cost more in the restaurant, as opposed to purchasing the ingredients and making the meal yourself at home. It’s kind of obvious to some of us, that you should pay for the labor of putting it altogether, and pay for the experience and expertise of those doing the work. Yet… it isn’t obvious to most people.Labor. You are paying for the work of building the computer. You should pay people for their specialized time, when they do things for you.
