Pc Graphics Card Question

A question about graphics card.?

So, here's the thing - I want to buy a new graphics card but I have a low budget so I've decided to go for GT 1030 but the question how long will it last? I want to play 2016,17,18 and future games. I don't actually care about the graphics ( so i can lower the resolution even up to 720p) but I want smooth FPS or at least 30 or 25 FPS. So, is the card suitable for me? Sorry for the English it's not my native language.

What graphics card does your PC have?

My desktop has a Nvidia GTX 1050.I would have gotten something better but I bought it in May 2017 when gpu prices were on the rise.So how is it?Well, I get 60fps or higher in almost all AAA titles, on high setting's.Here's some benchmarks:Fallout 4: High settings with Ultra textures, 1200p (1900x1200)Min: 30 FpsMax:60 FpsAverage: 55 FpsBattlefront (2015): highest settings 1080pMin:50 FpsMax: 103 FpsAverage:78 FpsBattlefield: 1080p highMin: 38 FpsMax: 120 Fpsaverage: 74 FpsBattlefront II (2017): 1080p highMin: 45 FpsMax: 145 FpsAverage: 79 FpsPUBG: 900p high*Min: 30Max: 105Average: 76Fortnite: 1080p highMin: 37Max: 105Average: 68H1Z1: 1080p medium/high.Min: 34Max: 78Average: 54Minecraft: 1080p highest settingsMin: 54Max: 356Average: 128if you want to know how other games run, ask in the comments. I am very pleased with this $100 card. For only 2Gb of V-ram it is still very capable, but I recommend the 1050ti over this, if you want to play above 1080p.*this game stutters a lot IDK why.But overall, it has been a great card. It can’t game in 4k though, so I'll be upgrading within a few years. With all due respect,John Bethune.

How often should you replace your PC graphics card?

Your question can be understood two different ways, so I’ll answer both as I have understood them…How long does it take to replace your PC graphics card? In most cases less than 5-minutes. Fully power off the PC and remove power cable to be safe. Remove the side panel(s) from the case. Unplug the GPU from the power supply (where applicable). Remove any mounting screws. Find the PCI slot’s locking latch and unlock it (where applicable). Apply pressure to the release or push the horizontal catch to the side, and gently pull the GPU away from the motherboard. Sounds like a lot of steps, but it really isn’t. 5-minutes at most and the GPU should be out and replaced with a new.How often do you replace a PC graphics card? This question has a few answers depending on the reason you’re replacing it. A. It becomes faulty or problematic. Whether this is 1 month or 10 years. Faulty is faulty. B. When I find that I need more processing power to run my programsC. When I need (or rather “want”) more monitors but my current GPU doesn’t support the number of GPUs I want and I don’t want to use other alternatives to have more monitorsD. I want a higher resolution for multimedia tasks and gamesIn terms of general computer hardware, most is rated to last 4–6 years, though there are cases where hardware has only lasted months, weeks, or even a few hours before suddenly failing - things happen. If your hardware is failing, is problematic, or you need/want more power - that’s when you upgrade/replace. Until then there’s really no reason to. Would you replace the engine in your car for the single reason being that it’s reached 100,000 miles?

My PC does not turn on after connecting my graphics card. What could be the problem?

SMPS/PSU is the problem, it is not delivering enough power to the PC components since Graphics card is eating most of the power, so your processor won't start unless motherboard gets proper power supply. You have not mentioned whether you Graphics card has 1 or 2 six/eight pin connectors, generally Graphics card requiring external power connector must be connected with SMPS having atleast 30Ampere current rating in 12V rail. 34A is the safe zone. So buddy you need to change your PSU. Don't buy SMPS from cheap Indian brands like Enter,Frontech,iBall,Zebronics, etc. You have to buy from Corsair,Antec, cooler Master etc . There are two Indian brands Circle and VIP, which provide decent SMPS but I would highly recommend you Corsair SMPS.

Can I upgrade my graphics card on a prebuild PC?

If it's a desktop sure.Open the case, unscrew the GPU supporting trays on the side of the GPU, remove it, put the new one inside, screw back the supporting trays, connect it appropriately, close the case.Check on YouTube for visual guides if you need to.

What is a cheap but fairly high-end graphics card for PC?

Passmark maintains an excellent set of CPU and GPU benchmarks and charts. One of the charts ranks GPU performance against cost:PassMark Videocard Value ChartIt currently says the Radeon RX 560 at $109 provides the best performance per dollar. If you click on it, you can see it compared to other GPUs (PassMark - Radeon RX 560 - Price performance comparison) In the first comparison chart, you get an idea what class it’s in, and how it compares to other popular GPUs. It’s by no means a high-end card, but it is pretty respectable for $109.The second card is the GTX 1060-3GB. This should probably serve as your baseline for comparison. This is the low-end of current high-end cards. At $199 it’s double the price of the RX560, but about 70% faster. It will run most games on high in HD (1920x1080) If your budget is around $200 this is the card to get. Otherwise…Work your way down this list, looking at cards in your price range. If you click on the name of the card it will bring up details. See how it compares to the RX560 and/or 1060–3GB
