Why can't I set up my smartwatch? I can't even set time.

Why does Apple keep getting all the credit for smart watches when companies like Pebble and Google were selling them years before Apple even announced their model?
Because marketing and advertising are as important to the mass market as the technology itself, and Apple is far and away the best - and has far and away spent the most. Almost everyone has seen at least one Apple Watch ad - and that fact cost a lot of money to accomplish. And that ad probably made you lust after their watch - because Apple marketing is excellent.Here's a related question: other smartwatches are round, making them look much better on your hand than the Apple Watch. And until recently the most expensive Android Wear watch, the LG G Watch R, was $328, which is less expensive than the least-expensive Apple watch.Why doesn't anyone seem to care? Because for a mass-market item, people in general don't care unless they're told they should care. Which is, again, where advertising and marketing come in. I especially think it's brilliant how $399 seems like an insanely expensive smartwatch, compared to everyone else. So Apple brings out models costing hundreds more, including some very special ones worth tens of thousands of dollars. Now $399 looks cheap. Wow. Well done, Apple.Oh, one last note: more than 80% of smartphones, worldwide, are Android. So eventually, Apple's luxury pricing, and their lack of compatibility with Android phones, will prevent them from adorning the arms of most of the world's humans. In terms of unit market share, Apple is losing. People actually do care about all these things, even if it seems like they don't. So Apple will, as usual, be relegated to that tiny portion of the market where... where all the money is.
Are smartwatches worth buying?
IMHO, No. And my reasons are two-fold:a) A smartwatch is first and foremost - A watch. And regular watches last a lot longer on a single battery than a smart watch does in a single charge.b) I am more or less going to refer to my phone for more detailed information about a particular notification - Frustratingly owing to the fact that I would’ve disabled functionality on my smartwatch to eke out more battery life to serve (a).When the Moto 360 came out in 2014, I was an early adopter (and my G-Shock had just exhausted its battery) ,wanting to try out this fancy new gadget that offered immediate notifications without having to look at my phone.I was able to :Read my emails.Attend calls.Navigate through Google Maps.Change songs through Spotify / SoundCloud.Add reminders and use Google Now in general.Reply to Skype / WhatsApp messages.I was even able to opt from a slew of watch faces which was super-cool!Every night, I would place the watch in it’s charging dock and it would charge within 45 minutes. This is what eventually wore down the smart watch for me. Yes, I know the 1st Gen Moto 360 was never going to have awesome battery life but I want one less device (apart from my two phones, my laptop) to worry about as far as charging is concerned. For comparison, my G-Shock lasted 7 years before the battery died.Besides, once my work emails started appearing on my phone, my watch died in half day because of the amount of notifications that popped out. I was running more or less in Airplane mode just to conserve battery…. which defeated the purpose of a smartwatch.In the end, I have my trusted Seiko Solar Chronograph and a Citizen Navihawk running on Light energy. They may not show me my notifications… but I will never run out of battery on these devices.
