Perception Wireless Compatible Microphone

What's a good wireless gaming headset for PC and PS3?

This is what I use and pretty much exactly what you're looking for: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Stereo-He...

There's no drivers or anything needed, you just plug it into your PC or PS3 and turn it on. The charge lasts roughly 7-8 hours. Just make sure you have a mini USB cable to charge them because they don't come with one. You should have gotten one with your PS3 though to charge your controller.

What is the best microphone for recording voice over?

The one you have.Seriously - the microphone is almost never the deciding factor in VO.Spend all your money on a mic. Put it in a poorly treated room. And it will capture every nuance of that space. In other words, it will sound horrible.Spectacular mics will dutifully record every nanosecond of a dreadful performance.Invest in your training. Then in your space. Then get a decent microphone and interface. Note, that’s “decent” - not “best”.There are hours of video mic “shoot-outs” on the internet - featuring mics you know and mics you’ve never heard of. All of those videos have compressed/processed audio playing those samples back (it’s the nature of youtube or other video players - they all change the actual audio to some degree). So, using that audio to make a decision is not optimum. There are plenty of good sounding mics in the $250 and up neighborhood. For VO, Large-Diaphragm Condenser microphones are usually the recommended option. They do tend to be more sensitive (which is good because they capture every detail of your tone, but is bad because that includes the room in which you are recording).Pay attention to what working voice actors mention- there are certain makes/models which are good tools and are often referenced. But, there’s no “magic” best mic. If you have a thin and reedy voice, you likely don’t want an overly bright sounding mic in front of you, just as a deep voiced talent on a bass-y mic will tend to sound overly boomy. All mics have different frequency response curves - another reason that the “best” mic for my voice may not be the “best” mic for your voice. Flat response curves are often the wiser choice for talent recording from a home studio. That lets the voice actor provide clean and balanced audio to the engineer who will be putting it into the final product.Whatever mic you end up with, it’s not likely to be the last mic you ever buy. Get something decent, ask engineers what they are using when they mic you (and “why?” if they have the time to answer) and upgrade if it makes sense to do so.

What's the difference between a gaming headphone and a music headphone?

The simple answer is, a gaming headphone has a mic attached to it. That’s the primary difference. You can always buy aftermarket mics for regular headphones too or use an external mic.Everything else in a gaming headphone are basically features which depending on you are worth it or not. Example Surround sound, I dislike it, it is gimmicky. Some pro competitive players prefer a wider soundstage and lesser bass in headphones to hear footsteps easily to turn and shoot the opponent quickly like in CS:GO, etc. But clearly these are specific needs. If you are looking for a good gaming headset which isnt expensive and is good for music listening too, Kingston’s Hyperx Cloud Core is really good. I wouldn’t recommend the rest of their lineup such as Cloud Drone.

What headphone with microphone is best for practising recording in Nuendo and Pro tools?

Do not use a headphone with a built in microphone. Instead, use a separate microphone and a separate pair of cans. You should ideally go for a USB microphone such as the Blue Yeti [Blue Microphones Yeti]. It's an excellent entry level microphone, and though not good enough for commercial grade records, is more than adequate for recording basic demos etc. For cans, I'd recommend something which gives you a flat response, which allows you to hear the sound as it is, bereft of enhancements and such, which might give you an incorrect perception as to the character of the sound you're hearing through them. An excellent, and economical pair of cans is the Audio Technica ATH M-40x [Audio-Technica ATH-M40x Professional Headphones - Closed]. Also, make sure that while recording there is no latency. This might be hard if you don't have a dedicated recording interface, and use effects like reverb/delay/autotune etc. while recording. The latency will cause you to hear your output a few ms later than when you produce it, which will cause you to feel like you're singing slower than you actually are, which sensation will progressively increase notwithstanding the metronome.

What are the best and cheapest headphones for binaural beats?

Your misunderstanding the term Binaural with this question -  "Binaural recording" on @Wikipedia:Binaural recording It is simply a technique in how the audio is recorded, with two microphones separated and directed in a way that mimics how our ears take in sound waves, so that when played back over headphones the audio will be similar to how the audio sounded to a human pair of ears in person. You can listen to Binaural sound recordings on ANY pair of headphones. The reason why you cannot listen to Binaural audio with external stereo systems is because too much of the audio bleeds to the other sides, reducing the effect of the stereo separation. Here are a few Binaural recording microphones ... after these, you can look at any and all stereo headphones and earphones to see what supports playback of Binaural Technique recorded audio. And a video in case your still missing something. Binaural Audio as Fast As Possible from Linus Tech Tips' Techquickie YouTube channel.

Which earphone is Best to Buy in India under 1.5k INR?

Skullcandy S2IKDY-010 comes with a microphone ( so in this list, if you want to record, make and answer calls through headphones, stop reading right now and buy this one, because the other models have no mic), high quality build, excellent balance and sound output for around 1.1k. Extremely comfortable and wonderful noise cancellation (passive).Sennheiser CX180 gives 2 years warranty, mind blowing crisp quality music and amplification at this price range of 900 inr. No microphone though. High build quality and excellent comfort. Passive noise cancellation is good and the product feels nice.Sony MDR XB30EX is one of my very favourites. The bass in these XB series is clearly some extra bass.Boom sound as some newbies might claim it, it reproduces the base as the artists meant it to be. No microphone again. If you listen to a lot of rock, this is your go. No microphone though. Passive noise cancellation is effective and sits nice in the ears. Comes at 1.4 k.If you have a budget of 1.5k, which is high, yet low, and exactly in that average segment, these three companies have a variety of products, however, i would recommend you to go through these three products review by review and come to a conclusion, as headphone selection and preference is a mere variance between people and is after all a perception because of the music one might tend to.
