Good names for a personal training business?
The naming of your business could be one of the most important decisions you will make. A name's originality and legal availability will create a real asset value of its own, as it becomes marketed and gains market acceptance. The name you choose will become the focal point of all the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it in the future. Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route... I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research. I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there. Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first. There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up. Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!
Personal training business name help. Name some what risque?
I’m currently going school for exercise science I'm only a freshman at the moment but I want to start building my brand now. I was thinking about starting a blog as part of my brand building strategy. I live in a city with a 40% gay population. Its a bed room community but has a great mix of ages living and working within the city. I'm also less than five miles away from downtown fort-Lauderdale. So I’ll probably be targeting the white color and government workers. I have two domain names in mind lookgreatnaked.net greatnaked.net lookgreatnaked.com has already been taken but the trainer who owns that site is based in New York, I am in Florida. greatnaked.net is taken but is just a holding page with a few porn links. It doesn't even come up when you type greatnaked in Google. We all want to look great naked, but I’m afraid of scaring off more modest clients. I'll probably use my name for my business so no one is going to write greatnaked/lookgreatnaked on a check.

A woman's name in your business name would show that your target audience was women, eg like the humorous name Sweaty Betty, which is the name of a fitness clothes chain for women in the UK. What do your customers want? To lose weight? Get strong muscles? Run marathons? Different words will suggest different things. Women are often attracted to words like Shape or Health, whereas men would be more drawn towards something promising power or strength. Marketing ideas for Personal Training?
You could make a condensed version of a stretching, cardio or workout routine (around 5 minutes long), video it and post it on YouTube and your facebook page. You could give it a fancy name the 5 minute [whatever] and use it to market your full programs and build an online following. You could use the video to send people to your website (assuming you have one) where they could sign up for fitness tips straight from the personal trainer. You could then professionally market any services or sales directly to those people. Other Ideas: - Perhaps you could host a free day allowing anyone one free class or a bring a friend day? - Are there any health food stores in your town where you could potentially setup a table to promote a healthy eating / healthy living type campaign? - Networking with local massage therapists, dietitians or even doctors offices may provide ways to receive free referrals when these professionals need to refer someone to a personal trainer. - Where do most of your current clients work and what are their hobbies? Answers to those questions will provide additional leads for some targeted campaigns. Hope some of that helps :)
