Persons Of A 7th Level Ranking

What is the official rank of Marvel smartest characters?

I am unsure if there is actually an “official” ranking of Marvel’s super-geniuses (a Google search only turns up fan made lists). However, there is two we can talk about for certainty:First, is Reed Richards. Until recently, Reed Richards was the smartest person on Earth. This was not up for debate. While he has many very, very smart counterparts, Reed Richards was, as far as I can tell, officially the smartest person on Earth-616.However, his title has since been usurped by Lunella Lafayette, aka. Moon Girl. Moon Girl is a 9 year old African American girl who is also an Inhuman. Her Inhuman gift has rendered her as, officially, the smartest person on Earth-616. It should be noted, that this relates more to her capacity, than actuality. Given her age and relative inexperience, she certainly has nowhere near the accomplishments that someone like Reed Richards does, but as she grows older, she will likely accomplish things that would make even Richards envious (or, perhaps, very proud).Besides these two, there is the usual suspects who routinely are considered the smartest people on Earth (sadly, all of them male):Hank Pym/Ant-ManBruce Banner/The HulkTony Stark/Iron ManDr. DoomHank McCoy/BeastThe LeaderAmadeus ChoT’Challa/Black PantherCharles Xavier

Japanese rank terminology / Is Kyoshi higher than Sensei?

In terms of Japanese martial arts terminology, I would be a senpai, my student would be kohi, my teacher is sensei, what would be my teacher's teachers title? Would it be Kyoshi? If not, what is the Kyoshi?

Which is a higher level, black belt or brown belt?

Black belt is higher than brown belt. In many styles of Okinawan and Japanese martial arts brown belt is the last color before going to black belt. Traditionally black belt will have at least five levels. However most of them now have as many as ten degrees of black belt. The rank system is broken down into what the Japanese call Yudansha or Mudansha. Mudansha ranks are ranks below black belt and include what ever color belts the style uses. Yudansha ranks refers to the various degrees of black belt used by a style. What confuses many people is that the color belts (called Kyu ranks) count down to black belt. Once a person reaches black belt (Dan ranks) the rank system counts up. Here is an example of kyu and dan ranks

White belt 9th kyu
Orange 8th kyu
Yellow 7th Kyu
Blue 6th Kyu
Green 5th Kyu
Purple 4th Kyu
Brown 3rd Kyu
Brown 2nd Kyu
Brown 1st Kyu

Black belt 1st Dan (Degree)
Black belt 2nd Dan
Black belt 3rd Dan
Black belt 4th Dan
Black belt 5th dan
Black belt 6th Dan
Black belt 7th Dan
Black belt 8th Dan
Black belt 9th Dan
Black belt 10th Dan

(I used the rank system we use as an example. ) Not every style uses the same number, of belts or the same order of colors. Some styles don't go as high as 10th degree black.

In some styles ranks from 5th dan up may wear belts that are red and white on one side and black on the back. In other styles the black belts all wear black belts but may use stripes on the belt to indicate the Dan level. In some style, if there is a 10th Dan he may wear a special Red belt, but that is not always used.

What title refers to grandmasters in Japanese martial arts? How do you refer to the headmaster?

Hanshi, Shihan, Kaicho, Soke...these are all terms commonly used to refer to the Grand Master level of any particular system but it will depend on the traditions of the system.

Soke is the most misused terms out of all of them and many people use this that, in effect, have no right to call themselves a founder or inheritor of a system. The term Shodai Soke means 1st Founder of a new branch or system.

The most common one found today typically is Hanshi.
