Philippines Websites If I Want To Look For Jobs

What are the best job boards in the Philippines?

What kind of people are you looking to hire, and would it be virtual, or location-based work?If it's all virtual, then your best bet is to find Filipino talents in:Virtual Staff Finderhttp://www.odesk.comhttp://www.elance.comIf it's location-based, or "traditional" work (some employers advertise for virtual work here, too):http://www.jobstreet.comhttp://www.jobsdb.comAlso, you asked how companies hire in Manila. Well, it may be THE metropolis of the Philippines, but you'd be surprised to find equally talented and hardworking individuals from places such as Cebu, Davao, Bacolod and Iloilo, and other provincial places outside of Metro Manila. I have used these Cebu-based job sites in the past (as I know of no equivalent in the other cities I previously mentioned) to find jobs, virtual or otherwise. They are pretty extensive, you might want to check it out, too:http://www.mynimo.comhttp://www.cebujobs.phOr for a more traditional approach, you can put an ad on the SUNDAY edition of a Cebu local newspaper, Sunstar (http://www.sunstar.com.ph). The Sunstar Sunday edition is widely read and has been known by everybody looking for a job to contain what they look for.Should you advertise for the jobs you need to fill in for your company/small business/starup, may I suggest that you be very specific in what you are looking for? Also, it helps if you put in the job description, related responsibilities, salary range you are expecting to pay for that person, along with the perks/benefits that go with the job. This will help you in attracting top talents. There's no bigger turn-off for a job hunter than to look at an ad that's vague or ambiguous.I hope this helps. I wish you the best in finding top-quality Filipino talents!

I HATE MY LIFE IN LONDON, I WANNA GO BACK TO PHILIPPINES?

well i don't hate england but i just prefer my country over it, and i don't like how i live my life here, i know it's my decision on how i live my life but my parents doesn't allow me to do anything here in england by myself and i can never really enjoy life here because almost all my relatives live in philippines and here in england it's just me my dad and mom and whenever their at work (almost everyday) i'm by self at home and they won't allow me to go out with my friends because either they don't trust them or that they think it's unsafe for me to go without an adult and i'm not aloud to have friends over in England but in philippines when i was young (i was raised there until i was 10) i was aloud to go out with my friends as long as my parents know where and who i'm going with, and even when they weren't there i had my other relatives and friends there with me i'm not sure if other people who haven't lived in philippines for a long while would understand this but i prefer to live there than in england because here, it feels so depressing. i won't be coming home for another 3-4 years and i feel like i'm missing out on a lot of things in philippines and i feel like i'm not living my childhood and teenage years to the fullest, i know it's better to be here because of the education and i'll get money to go home when i'm older but i just want to enjoy my teen years because when i go home there when i'm an adult the people my age are going to be too busy for work and sometimes just can't help but cry when i see my family enjoying themselves or when my cousins post pictures of themselves with there friends and i just think that i'm here being depressed about my life.

another thing i don't like about the school i go to in england is that the kids are so annoying, their so rude to their teachers and think their too cool to do this and that so they don't do anything at the end and their so lazy, when you do something and they don't think it's cool or they don't like it they just start to tease you and i hate the peer pressure, i have good friends but sometimes their just like that. there are filipinos here but their exactly like that too

i don't mean to sound that i'm complaining but i don't know what to do, i miss my country and i wanna go back but i can't anything i can do to convince my parents to at least go there for vacation next year? ( we just visited this year) even if it's just me or even for a short period of time?

How do I find a job in the Philippines as a foreigner?

Excellent advice by Jack Northrup. When I first moved here I had an established online marketing business based in the UK with UK clients paying UK fees while enjoying the Philippine cost of living. That's the way to go.It also cuts out all the red tape bullshit as far as work permits go etc.Plus, you'll struggle to find a decent salary because most Filipinos are willing to work for peanuts.

What kind of work can I do in the Philippines?

No doubt that the contact center industry here is booming - so expect some opportunity. What that opportunity is depends largely on you and where you choose to live. As Jake mentions below, your main choices are Manila or Cebu, and possibly Davao and Subic. Manila remains easily the safest choice for employment choice. There is a good list of Manila costs at Nomad List — The Best Cities to Live and Work Remotely. Having a Filipina partner will definitely help you to navigate the cultural changes.    Planning to live and work here makes more sense if you expect to trial it first - join some of the Expat groups on Facebook to get a sense of different areas to live and what to expect. Contact decent recruitment agencies and have them find you a position worthy of your experience - keep in mind you'll want something decent so that you can justify the work permit, otherwise you won't legally be entitled to work until after you are married. Manila Recruitment has a lot of very senior contact center placement experience.

Should I go to the Philippines for college?

I was wondering how colleges worked there, whether I should stay where I am currently (UAE), if I would get a good job (in the UAE) after college if I studied in De La Salle or any other good college there, and other stuff like that. I am currently in the ninth grade and I heard that I do not need to take grades 11 and 12 to study there (The batch of students before mine has too). My mom is a Filipino and I can speak and understand tagalog and bisaya (Main languages in the Philippines) any other extra information will be appreciated.
