work a lot of problems and get the concepts understood. brush up on your math. make sure you know how to add vectors. vector are not physics, its math, but they they can interfere with understanding physics. make sure you understand basic trigonometry really well.....interior opposite angles being equal, etc. brush up on basic geometry, nothing fancy but know the basics well before you start physics.
