What are some places to go after prom in Atlanta, Ga?

Our prom end at 11 ... We plan on going to Dave & Buster's .. Now after that we don't know what to do. All of us are 18 and up. What are some other places besides Dave & Buster's that we could do, that close late. We need entertainment !

What are the best places to visit in Atlanta?

Although the tourist attractions listed so far are all fun they are also well into the realm of being "family friendly." When I travel with friends to unknown but cool cities) I rarely visit museums and aquariums. When I have friends visit me (as a current Atlant-alien) I take them three places.1.) The (ML)King Center for Nonviolent Social Change. Why? It is free and we all have a past we want to ignore, even we as a country and a society. It is not the most sophisticated and technologically advanced museum you will ever visit but it proves what MLK said best' "Everybody can be great because anybody can serve."2.) The Atlanta Beltline. Why? Because no where else is a city or a people so passionately and effectively building a connection in such a unique way. Linking rich and poor, black and white, gay and straight, ethnic and native neighborhoods in town with shops, restaurants and the living of life along every step. People used to be scared to cross over to the "wrong side" of streets in these areas. Atlanta even had a way of renaming roads that crossed certain intersections to alert everyone when you entered an area where the scenery had "changed" to another color. Now, they are connecting and thriving.3.) Clermont Lounge. Or, as I lovingly refer to it "the place where strippers go to die." There is little sexy or scintillating about the grungy basement where all-natural women pick there own music from the jukebox and dance at times ignored by the customers on a small stage in a corner circled by a bar. You drink PBR from and drink weak cocktails from plastic cups and they do not serve any food. What makes this place amazing is the mix of a crowd that convenes there about 1AM most weekend nights. You will never feel more accepted whomever you are or more accepting while dancing the crowded dance floor with a naked lady in the distance behind you. A true classic everyone needs to experience.

What are the big, mega dance clubs in Atlanta?

There are a good amount of great dance clubs in ATL.  Andrew's Entertainment District is a great place to check out, as it is made up of 5 different venues in one.  Tons of great drinks, dancing, and even an Ice Bar can all be found in this one venue.  Compound is another great venue for dancing, and is on the higher end/more VIP side of things.  They have great performers like Steve Aoki, Nas, and Lil Wayne, and also offer bottle service.  CosmoLava is really fun, has three different levels to it, and also has a Tropical Themed outside deck.  I would also definitely recommend checking out Tongue & Groove, Opera, and Harlem Nights.  All these venues are great for dancing and each have their own unique feel to the place.I am also launching a nightlife app soon which will show all the necessary details for venues and their upcoming events.  You can also purchase tickets for the events directly through the app and it will be available in most major nightlife destinations, including Atlanta.  Thanks!DylanNiLiniliapp.com

What is a good 18 and up night club in Atlanta?

I know on Thursdays there's a club called Wild Bill's that a lot of my college friends go to. Its 18 & up on thursdays. with your college ID you get a discount, and if you call q100 before 5 or 7 you can get on guestlist and get in for free. Its a lot of fun, and huge. and the no smoking indoors is a plus.

Another spot is Loca Luna, in the downtown/ Midtown area. This is a salsa club, with a live band, and its a really cool place, to goof around, dance and get cheap tapas for about 3 bucks.

Club Europe (770.452.1240) is also a blast! 18 to party , 21 to drink. and they have 95.5 the beat radio station there on fridays i think. they also have about 2 cages that you can dance it. Its free before a certain time. I think they have techno on sat, r&b on friday. Its really smoky though, but there's a lot of hot international people there, and the crowd is fun.

hope this helps & www.citysearch.com used to help me a lot, especially for new spots and people's review. hope this help u ladies

if you decide you don't want any of those clubs sometimes fraternities in GSU, and other universities throw parties in clubs, so you might find a flyer in your school.

What is your worst experience living in Atlanta?

Ice Storms are horrible in Atlanta which is full of very tall trees especially pines. The ice accumulated on the needles and the weight of the ice breaks off huge branches. It pulls down power lines and roads are impassable since we have lots of hills here. Power can be out for a week and also your home could have a few trees on it. During one of these storms my septic tank backed out into out basement. U fortunately it was four days before we got it cleaned up. The ice storm is beautiful in its own way but wrecks havoc on ATLANTA.

Where is the best place to practice dancing beside home?

At my gym when it’s completely empty overnight. It has big mirrors and giant ceiling-mounted fans. Mirrors are important. The fans keep me cool. The floor is slip-resistant, which for dancing is a mild downside. I have to adapt to that.Dance studio time is expensive. I rationalize it as my use of gym includes both my dance time and my workouts. I usually practice dance steps in my workout rest breaks and then spend another hour just dancing. Getting the footwork sequences right takes a lot of practice.Sometimes, I dance when I am not alone at the gym. Having a handful of early joggers as audience does not affect me.

Where to stop between Atlanta and Nashville?

i live 40 minutes from nashville, and we have been to atlanta tons of times!!!! you know what, there really isnt too much in between. it is basically BFE. if you know what i mean. in chatanooga there are tons of antique shops, and i am 24 and i think thats fun shopping, and cheap for your house. its neat to find little trinkit stuff, but to be honest there is nothing. the drive isnt that long. of course downtown nashville is always hoping. we always go to grahmn central station. its 1 bar with 7 bars. there is an 80s dance club, a kareoko, country, club, a piano, a chill bar if you want to get away from the heat, and i dont remember the other one. oh well that place is fun!!!! its crowded though. there wild horse saloon, and coyote ugly (which is nothing like the movie) but still fun, and i dont know everything is on a strip. in atlanta we always go to buckhead. my favorite bar there, and i cant remember what its called, but the girls wear little skanky school girl outfits, and swing on swings and dance and everything. its like a hardcore coyote ugly. you get a free shot as soon as you walk in. they play good dance music and thats my favorite place. and you HAVE to eat at emerils. its the best!!!!!!!!! and the best margaritas in the world. mabye you'll find something in between, but really its just a bunch of mountains and hills, and hillbillies. lol. be careful driving. and have fun!!
