Planning To Transfer To Another School . Can I Still Go Back To Ust

Can a DLSU student transfer to another school temporarily and come back as a returnee?

I am currently a student in De La Salle University.
I plan to transfer to a school abroad for now, so I'll have to file for a Certificate of Transfer Credentials and an honorable dismissal.
If studying abroad doesn't go well and I choose to come back to DLSU, can i reapply as a returnee? (The same way students can come back as returnees after a leave of absence)
Or will reapplying be hard? :/

I am on H1B visa and I want to go back to school to get an MBA (I have to go back on F1). Can I use the remainder of my H1B without going on lottery?

I went to the school while I was on L1B for a credit course that my company wanted me to get in. The best thing with H1B or L1B while you join college is that you will pay a resident fee which is much lesser fee than international students fee in F1 you will pay to the college. In my case F1 visa holder was paying $1400 and I paid around $350.Several companies have budget for college program. You may qualify for the program with company sponsored program with very less fee you may have to pay from out of pocket. Its better to talk to your HR. You don't need to convert your visa into F1. You can directly join the credit course whatever you will be in. You may have to pay full fee initially until your H1B status and resident fee elligibility be verified. Once it's verified you will get the excess fee refunded back to your account. This benefit may not be available being on F1.However, you have to complete a year period to that state or have to file an income tax return for last year or your parent should not have filed you as a dependent to get the benefit or there could be additional requirement based on that particular state you are planning to study. Moreover, you wish to go back to F1 due to any reason, your H1B will automatically be voided without prejudice as you have to file COS to F1 and you have to reenter to the lottery program later when you get a new job. But if you continue with H1B from previous employeer, you would get paid, paid less fee plus a college degree in your hand. If your company does not want to sponsor, there is still possible that you may continue the college with H1B as long as your company does not withdraw the petition.Cheers.

Planning to transfer to another school... can i still go back to ust?

Hi! I'm currently a finance student at UST... but i just realized by now what i really want to be (doctor). It has been really hard for me to decide on path to take. And now I know what i want but the problem is the timing. I am already enrolled for the next semester so I cannot shift anymore. Also, the course that I want in UST does not allow shifters (pharmacy). So I am planning to transfer next sem if ever. (but i think it will be hard to transfer next sem since our academic calendar is different from other schools) If not next sem, maybe I will have to wait again for the next academic year to transfer and shift.
If successful in transferring and graduating in another school, I would like to take my med proper at UST... but is it possible?

Will I be able to transfer my A school and C school credits to a college of my choosing in the navy?

After A school and C school, will colleges accept the credits from A and C school? Will I be ahead by 2 years or so if I continue down the medical line if I transfer the credits? I plan on getting out after my contract ends and find a job in the civilian world in the medical field. I plan to use the gi bill for a degree in medical.

Can I transfer community college credits to another community college in a different state, or should I wait?

Yes you can transfer the credits from the Community College that you are currently attending to any other community colleges, Universities that you want to get transferred , either in state or out of state . But the courses that you have transferred to new Community College/ University may and may not be used for completing your degree. So it’s always better to plan ahead the choice of the courses you are currently taking and it’s use in your degree plan because some of the courses that you are currently taking may be transferred to new college but may not be used in your degree plan.So it’s far better to complete all the general courses while attending the Community College and plan ahead about the university and major you will be choosing. Since, your ultimate goal is to complete the undergrad from University .

GPA, transferring and NON transferable classes?

This is tricky and i do not know the rules at UC schools, or California law for that matter but if i was faced with a similar problem here is what i would do, it might give you a couple of ideas for a starting point: 1. Did you pay for these classes or was there financial aid involved? I have no idea how high school concurrent classes work but if you did not have to take out federal financial aid, then there is not a financial aid record of what schools you went to. Go talk to the registrars of the colleges that you made F's in and be nice and real honest and ask them what are the chances of a future school finding out that you went there> if they say none then you are off the hook. this has happened to many students (myself included) that made bad grades at one college and did not receive financial aid, they just applied at a new college and said they had never been to college before.

2. If that does not work try to find a loophole to get out of the grades: A. go to the dean and ask for an academic fresh start (thats what its called here and erases all attempted and earned grades and credits) and tell him that you wish to attend his college again, no you really dont but they will often erase any grades especially in light of your age and immaturity. B. Go to the professor that issued the grade and ask them to amend the grade to give you a W (some schools dont like to let professors do this after a couple of semesters have passed, but if you can convince the prof they can probably convince the school) C. another loophole is that you were under 18 when this occurred and could not legally make a contract, as long as your parents didnt sign a bunch of stuff when you went to this school you could hire a lawyer and see what he can do, this has worked for people in the past.

After all of this being said you might not have to worry about it, if you get an official copy of your current transcript it will show what courses you will transfer. Is this F on there? After all the W doesnt matter, all college students use the add/drop and withdraw system to their advantage and it doesnt look bad at all.

I owe my school money, Can I use financial aid or student loan to pay it so I can go to school this fall?

There are some private loans that may help you out to pay this bill so you can go back to school. Sallie Mae, I believe, has one. Ask your college, they can tell you. That said, it's a loan, it has to be repaid and it isn't deferred, IOW, you start paying now. You may be better off talking with the college's Business Office (Bursar or Student Payment Office) if you can work out a reasonable payment plan with them that will allow you to return to school. Financial aid may not be used to pay for amounts due from a prior year, although if the school allows you to register and return to classes you may apply the refund towards it. Most schools, though, will not allow you to return with an outstanding charge without you making some effort to pay first.

How do the New York City subway transfers work?

(See that sign? That's a key to how you are going to make transfers in between or among your many subway rides in NYC system. Understand it. Follow the sign/s so you won't have to go out of the system in making transfers. Or else, you'll pay another fare again, and you'll make the MTA happier.)Say you’re already in the system, you can get off in any subway stop that has a connection to another (subway) line. Then you can walk a few steps or more, depending on the distance of the next line you’re taking, then wait for the next train going to your destination. Train opens door, you get in.Or you can switch from the express or the local train, or vice versa, depending on where you’re going. Just get off the train at the stop where you’re taking the other train. Train opens door, you get in.You can do this all day long without paying extra, as long as you’re in the system. The key is to keep yourself in the system. Once you step out of system, you will need to swipe your card again (or buy your fare again).

How do I Transfer DSiWare Games to my new DSi from my old DSi?

I first bought the dsi the day after it was released. A few days ago, I noticed that the L button wasn't working. I had bought a 2yr plan at Best Buy and had it replaced, but then had to buy another 2yr plan since you can only use those once. When I open the new system, the Club Nintendo insert advertises that I get an extra 90 days when you register online through Club Nintendo (which i had done). Can I get my $30 back from Best Buy since this extra 90 day thing should have been used?

When I had my old dsi, i copied all the games onto an SD card, but when I put the SD card back in my new DSi, the software could not be copied. The manuel said that this would be a problem, since the games were not installed on the new device, but I bought them legally, and the only reason I needed to transfer was because of a hardware defect with my original device? If I call Nintendo, will they repace the games? And will I keep all the save information like levels and unlockables from "Mario vs. Donky Kong - Minis March Again!"?

Other possible useful info:
I have a Club Nintendo account linked to my DSi Shop
I had 100 points remaining from previous purchase on DSi Shop
I used a credit card for both the original purchase and the second 2yr plan at Best Buy
I used my Rewards Zone card with these purchases at Best Buy

Thanks for your help!
