Can you make a plot diagram of the movie "The Matrix"?
-First off before reading this i suggest watching the movie as it is my favorite movie and 100% worth it- The Matrix takes place about a hundred years in the future where machines rule the surface world after a major machine vs human war due to malfunctioning AI(Artificial Intelligence). The humans blocked out the main source of energy for the machines (the sun) but still lost the war. Because the sun was blocked out the machines had to find a new source of energy so they began to capture human beings and put them in a virtual world which they called the Matrix. The virtual world simulated life before AI was used for the humans so instead of being 21-- (the exact year was not known) they made it to be the year 1999 in the Matrix. The survivors from the real world had to retreat deep underground near the earths core where it was warm and formed the last human city Zion. The humans later learn how to free peoples minds from the system and bring them back to the real world but they could not do that in masses because not everyone could handle it, Machines would probably catch them if they do it too many times. Because of this they also were able to travel between the real world and the matrix. The movie is about finding "The one" which is a glitch in the matrix, someone inside who is not bound by any rules inside the system, and when they find him they believe that the war would come to an end. The main character Thomas Anderson aka Neo is a hacker in the Matrix who always felt like something wasn't right in the world. Which lead another character from the real world, Morpheus to him. They release Neo from the Matrix and show him what it really is, Believing that he is the one. When a traitor kills members of Neo's team to be reinserted into the Matrix, Morpheus gets captured by Agents(Programs created by the machines to monitor the Matrix, they are incredibly strong and fast, no human has ever fought a agent and lived). Neo saves Morpheus but ends up running into Agent Smith, whom he has to fight, Neo ends up getting shot and dies but he comes back to life as the One and "kills" Agent Smith.
What do you believe the monster in ‘Lost’ really is?
I think the monster was originally a highly advanced security system designed to separate participants in the experimental Dharma hatches. I think it was an effect that was designed to frighten people (smoke, noise) if they strayed too far from their experiment location. (A bit Wizard of Oz like) However, the electromagnetic force has mutated it - in the same sense as Desmond experienced time travel and can now see the future after exposure - and made it malevolent and able to physically grab things in its force (Eko, the Pilot, Locke). So in theory it may be able to be deactivated, if they can find the control room for it (which would be another hatch somewhere yet undetected)
In the new movie The Strangers...questions?
in the beginning, it's not liv tyler's character on the phone. it's jordan, one of the mormon boys. that's why it still makes sense that the phone lines were cut in the rest of the film. pay attention! lol. the suit also made me wonder if at least one of the killer's was part of the reception, as well as if james' father had something to do with it (remember james tells kristen that he lied about hunting with his father when he was looking for guns?) but then nothing came of it, so who knows. and also, the reason they removed their masks was to show that there was no way these people were going to live. it wasn't because they knew them, or because it would have mattered to the audience. it was simply to let us know these people were going to die, because killers in masks don't let you see their faces unless they are going to kill you.
