Nearest station to reach powai will depend on direction you are coming from.If coming Central line:Get down at kanjurmarg if coming from Thane end.Auto are easily available outside station but you need to walk few 100 meters to reach main road outside station.2. Get down at vikroli station if coming from ghatkopar end.Auto are easily available and just outside station.If coming from Western line:Get down at jogeshwari station and walk to the main road and take rikshaw.Also you can get down at Andheri station and take metro to sakinaka and take auto from here till powai. This will save time as it's pretty heavy traffic during the day on jvlr. Though sakinaka is also crowded area but I have used this and saved myself many times.Travel time will vary according to the time you are travelling . Morning 9–11 am and 6–9 pm are peak hours.Its monsson So keep some buffer time always.

Since you are coming from Pune, get down at Dadar (Central).If its terminal 1, then come to Dadar (western) and get a slow local to Vileparle, from here you can take an auto or cab upto T1.If its terminal 2, You can reach Andheri from Dadar (Western) or Ghatkopar from Dadar (Central) by a fast local then get a metro from either of the places to Airport road or Marol Naka and then you take an auto/cab from there.Thanks.
What is the difference between DR and DDR railway station?
In Mumbai, their are two Railway Route (Western and Central Railway) running parallel to each other, they come close at Dadar Station. so Dadar Railway Station is present on both railways.Central Railways Dadar Station is denoted by DR whereas Western Railways Dadar Station is denoted by DDR.So, it is not possible for any train to go at both Station.If train is originating or terminating at CST Mumbai (Central Railway) then your train will halt at Dadar Railway Station DR not DDR. If it were Andheri-Virar fast train, It would have been 250+10.If you are caught on the platform, the fine translates to 250+10(Platform ticket) =260.The fine is 250 and add the cost of the ticket.The fine is calculated similarly on First class tickets.

No, the stations are not the same. At Kurla station only locals halt and long distance trains pass through. And those trains originate and terminate at CSTM or Dadar. No long distance train passing through Kurla ever goes to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT).LTT has its own set of long distance trains that originate and terminate at this terminus and no local trains come to LTT.Kurla is not even the nearest local station to LTT. The nearest local station to LTT is Tilaknagar station which is the local station one should detrain at to reach LTT. One cannot easily reach LTT from Kurla either on foot or with a vehicle.If you live in Mumbai and wish to take a train from LTT, it is easier to take a cab from your location to LTT but if you plan to use the local train service instead, you will have to take a Harbour Line train to reach Tilaknagar. In case you happen to use the Main Line local, you’ll need to change to Harbour Line local at Kurla in order to reach Tilaknagar. From Tilaknagar it is a five minutes walk to LTT.

Thanks for A2A. There could be three possible scenarios here. I'll explain both. Scenario 1 — You are travelling from Borivali to Vashi. You buy a ticket for Vashi and get into a Churchgate bound train at Borivali. You get down at Dadar and cross over to Central Line and take a train towards Thane. At Thane, you take a train for Vashi. In this case, the single ticket would be valid. Scenario 2 — You are travelling from Borivali to Mahim You get into a fast train at Borivali simply to save time. You get down at Bandra and move over to a different platform to board a slow train for Mahim. You take a slow train for Mahim. In this case, the single ticket is valid. However, please note that you cannot move in the opposite direction. Scenario 3 — You are travelling from Borivali to Churchgate. You take a train for Churchgate from Borivali. During the journey, your friend calls you for shopping at Linking Road Bandra. You get down at Bandra and do your shopping. You return to Bandra to continue your journey to Churchgate. In this case, you will need to buy a new ticket. As you get down at Bandra and leave the station, you are terminating your journey. So, the onward journey from Bandra to Churchgate is a new journey. Note — There is a note in your ticket which says that the journey should commence in 1 hour. Hope this helps.
