Pny Flash Drive Not Showing Up

How do I close my USB flash drive?

There are many different varieties of PNY flash drives. You'll have to be more specific, although the only PNY flash drive I can think of that slides is thee one where you slide the middle of the bottle UP and not the actual USB back into it. Sorry!

I lost my flash drive (10 easy points)?

earlier today i went to the computer lab at my school and put my flash drive into one of the computers there. when i got home, i couldnt find the flash drive, and assumed it was still in the computer at school. it's friday, so i can't look for the drive for three days, and i really wanted to start working on something stored in the drive over the weekend (it's nothing important though; just a hobby.) do you have any ideas as to how i can find my flash drive? i have my school work stored there, and those documents have my name on it, and i also have some pictures of myself there, so maybe it's possible that someone'll find it and recognize me and return it. idk, i just really want it back because that flash drive has two years' worth of data on it. so... is there anything i could do to find it?

Using 8gb USB flash drive, but it won't let me copy 4.3gb file - says the disk is full. Why?

What format is the drive? certain formats can only use up to a point, regardless of how much space is actually available. come back to me with the format and all, and I will be able to help you further
Fat32 is limited to 4GB file sizes, Fat12 is limited to 16mb,
NTFS is by the size of the drive.
You may want to format the drive to NTFS. that doesnt have a size limit on the file.. you can do that or exFAT (but is only supported by Vista and Windows 7, and XP with a specific patch), but NTFS is more supported. do that and your problem should go away.

to format, right click the thumbdrive, click format, then in the drop list, select ntfs, and go from there.

I have an SD card of 16GB, but it's showing only 30 MB and Windows is also unable to format it. What should I do?

Actually I’ve just run into this problem right now when trying to format an SD which had been used in a Raspberry Pi.What I did:Open Disk managementDelete all the partitions associated with that SD (be very careful that the partitions you are deleting are associated with the SD)After all the partitions have been deleted you will see at the bottom of the Disk management UI anallocated large partition, this will be your unformatted SD card (you may need to refresh).Right click on it, Choose New Simple Volume from the shortcut menu.Click the Next button.Set the size of the new volume (it is preset to disk capacity)Click the Next button.Letter the new drive.Choose a name if you want.Choose format. (NTFS, FAT32)Click the Next button then Finish button and you are done.

I Bought a 32gb Flash Drive but only 29.8gb available?

I bought a 32gb Sandisk Cruzer flash drive but when I opened it up it said I only have 28gb. I deleted all the files and programs that came with it but now I have 29.8gb of free space. What happened to the rest of the 2gb? is there something I can do to make more space?

This is BS, I bought this flash drive thinking I could backup 31gb worth of important files and still have 1gb of breathing space. But this is worthless if I only have 29gb

Pny usb 3.0 32gb not working?

I've had this flash drive for about 2 months and until today I tried it on my iMac but the flash drive flashes 5 times but nothing poped up on my screen. I tried it on a windows 8 dell laptop and it flashed 5 times and nothing happend (os is up to date on both computers)

What should I look up for buying a pen drive?

Capacity and transfer speed are both important factors for a pen drive. However, i wouldn't recommend buying a pen drive solely on specifications.Go for a reputable brand. It's not that you cannot find cheap pen drives that are reliable, or that there aren't good brand pen drives with flaws, but there's currently so much utter garbage on the market that it's hard to separate the good from the bad.And now we're on the route of reliability, please please never ever rely solely on a pen drive for storing your data. They're notoriously prone to failure or loss. Have a backup at hand.
