I asked myself this question: "If I were on the Nobel Committee, would I award the Prize to Donald Trump?"First: "Who was it that nominated him?" It was none other than the President of South Korea, the nation most likely to be wiped off the face of the earth if a nuclear war were to break out with the North. Up until very recently this was a very real possibility. Remote, to be sure, but still very real. Certainly it was the most likely of all the nuclear conflict scenarios. Up until just a few days ago, they were technically "At War" with their neighbors to the North. Now, at least partially due to the crazy diplomacy of President Trump, that threat is almost completely abated. In fact, the two Koreas are closer now than they have been in 65 years, an idea that would have been unthinkable just 6 months ago.Broadly speaking, I come up with two reasons for this:1.) Trump is so crazy and erratic that the US can no longer relied upon to provide Global stability. That means that feuding nations who once depended upon the US as a kind of "Safety Net" have realized that they are on their own, and their only choice is to work things out among themselves.2.) Trump knows how to handle a "Bully". He lets it be known that he was Crazy as a drugged up MS-13 gang member and capable of any and every kind or brutal attack no matter how abusive or destructive! ..Then offers to meet with Kim Jong Un, as a "Friend"...So the question is: which was it? Was he the "idiot" who caused the two nations leaders to huddle together for protection, or was he the "Raging Bull" that convinced Kim Jong Un that he'd bitten off more than he could chew?The Answer of course is: It doesn't matter one iota. When it comes to the world peace, success isn't measured in whether you Like or hate a contributor, it's measured in..."Peace" and nothing more.On those grounds, Award him the Nobel Prize.
