Why is being a liberal so frowned upon?
If someone refers to you as liberal, it simply means that your ideas are open to change based on a given situation or time and place rather than on a specific standard. It often refers to people who do not see any ONE authority as having the final say...such as God for example. Politically, liberals support abortion, same sex marriage etc...as opposed to conservatives who do not etc. We all believe in freedom of speech etc...both liberals and conservatives. That is a Constitutional issue,not one of feelings or desires.
If a guy and a girl were stranded in a deserted island, will the girl develop sexual desires for him?
I know that if a guy and a girl (both straight) end up in a deserted island, the guy will most likely (99%) develop some sort of infatuation for the girl and will desire to have sex with her but what about girls? will they just be there and not develop any sexdrive for him?
Do you think more college students are liberal or conservative?
For a long long time it has been typical that the oldest segments in society are more conservative, and the younger crowd tend to be more liberal or leftist.The reason is pretty simple. The young have not worked many jobs, and certainly haven’t made a lot of money, so they pay very little in taxes. They understand little to nothing about the economy, and little to nothing about history, and the history of politics in general. They are mostly swept up in social issues. Social issues are predominately the realm of the left. This exact pattern was true when I was young as an 18-year-old I didn’t understand take economics or tax policies beyond the surface level. So my politics were based on social issues of the time, and my first election as an 18-year-old I voted Democrat.Then the older you get UC bad policy after bad policy. You see them ask for more tax dollars every time, and the last time the increased taxes promising to fix it, you see that they didn’t. The older you get you realize government just keeps growing larger, always restricting your freedoms more, always reaching a little deeper into your wallet. And you recognize it must be stopped. That history, that political context acquired over time, favors people turning conservative as they get older.

Why does the Northeast have so many liberals?
I hear ya. It sucks trying to have a legitimate conversation with someone. You say you're republican and they start yelling at you! Before you can even explain yourself or how you feel about anything. They just automatically assume you're the devil. Pretty much like the guy above me.^^^
In the US, will the demographics of conservatives and liberals change in the next few years?
Certainly, because such demographics are always changing, but what is really changing is the *definitions* of what a “liberal” or “conservative” is. It used to be the “liberals” who believed absolutely in freedom of speech, and the “conservatives” who wanted to censor anything “offensive”. It used to be the “liberals” who fought for separation of church and state, and the “conservatives” who wanted laws to favor one particular religion over others. It used to be “liberals” who wanted equal treatment for all races, and “conservatives” who fanned the flames of racism.Today, they’ve flipped almost completely 180 degrees. It’s been an amazing progression to watch: living proof that power corrupts.
What does your family think about you being a liberal?
For 20 years I have been telling them how corrupt the Republican Party was and they didn’t believe me, they continued to follow the lies.I told them how the GOP worked for the ruling class and supported corporate welfare while decimating the working class. I pointed out how they were not diverse and did not want common people to have too much knowledge. They didn’t believe me.Then came the internet and I could have documented proof of my comments within a few minutes. I showed my mom the Congress Report card on animal rights and she was extremely upset that republicans almost across the board would not vote to protect the environment or our animals.I showed her the jobs numbers, wages, unemployment, stock market, Han rights, labor rights and so on and she could not believe she was lied to her entire adult life and she recently voted almost all Democrats. She is an awesome mother!
What would you do if you were a conservative person stuck on an island full of liberal people?
Nothing , I wouldn’t give a damn about liberals, if they don’t breach my territory and hamper with my lifestyle. If I can go practice my religion, have a steady and a high job and still live among them then there’s no big deal. But the problem is liberals are no longer “liberals”. They have turned to authoritarians, the figures they loathed so much have become their idols ( I’m not talking only about leftists, I’m talking about religious figures also like the Caliphs and the Popes). And if the “liberals” dominate the island, I’m sure there wouldn’t be any freedom to live life in your own way. I’m not just talking about conservatives even if some liberals have views that contradict their beliefs I’m sure they would also be termed as conservatives. Secondly somehow if I earn way more than them I would be accused of being in the top 1% of the island and because of me they are living in such poor conditions. If I have a business I would have to pay a huge amount of tax because after all I’m “stealing” their money. On the outside liberals would cry crocodile tears and within them there wouldn’t be people as evil as them.P.S: Don’t start commenting that “most liberals I’ve seen are very welcoming,chill…..”. Please that used to be a really long time ago,they’ve abandoned their ideals and are hungry for power as more as ever.
