Here's the facts:He supported free trade and wanted to lower barriers to trade.He wanted lower taxes and believed the tax system “siphoned” too much money out of the private economyHe was extremely anti-communist. Barack Obama opened Cuba, but JFK invaded and blockaded Cuba. JFK said, “The enemy is the communist system itself — implacable, insatiable, unceasing in its drive for world domination.”He resisted calls from within his party to expand New Deal programs to fight poverty; he proposed instead to cut income taxes in 1963 and to cut corporate taxes from 52% to 47%. However, he did not make corollary spending cuts.His statement “ask not what your country can do for you,” which was reemphasized through his New Frontier program, is the complete antithesis of what liberals stand for today. He said the New Frontier was not “a set of promises, but a set of challenges. It sums up not what I want to offer the American people, but what I intend to ask of them.”He was very religious and declared abortion to be “repugnant,” especially for population control.
