Poll Hardest/easiest Language To Learn

Teens Poll: What is the hardest language to learn?

The hardest language to learn is very subjective, and depends on the native tongue of the learner. Spanish is often said to be the easiest for an English person to learn, because the language, like English, originates in the front of the throat and mouth. Many English speakers have trouble with French and German because they're so nasally and throaty respectively.

The hardest language for an English speaker to learn is almost always Arabic, for they have many more vowel clusters than English has...and we typically have no idea how to make them.

For the Germanic languages, English is typically said to be the hardest to learn to write. We are one of the few languages that have different homophones (same pronunciation, different spelling).

Also, the spelling in English is completely illogical. For example...

Why the f is there an "i" in "fruit?" It would be pronounced the same without it.
Why the f does pneumonia have a "p" and an "e?"
Why the f is our word that means spelled how it sounds not spelled as it sounds (phonetically)?

Poll: Which language is easier to learn? Spanish or French?

i would say spanish, i took both french and spanish. spanish was waaaay easier for me to learn!!! i just feel that it is more simpler

Hello, please whats the easiest European language to learn, apart from English?

I am 18 and successfully learned ten languages, the easiest one is between Spanish and Italian. I would probably have to got with Italian however as it is more naturally spoken and flows nicer than Spanish. The grammar is also a bit easier.

As far as French, the pronunciation is very difficult and what you see is not what is heard. For example "Qu'est-ce que tu fais" is pronounced kes-ku-tu-fe, a lot easier than it looks, which makes it a lot harder.

Out of the ten languages, which include Chinese and Arabic, German is tied with the Russian as the hardest. The grammar is ridiculous, there are over twenty ways to say "the," and so many different cases. And to say the most simple question, is such a hard task.

So the answer is Italian, I hope this helps :-)
