Poll Obama Worse Than Bush Do You Agree With Voters Who Say Bush Was Better

Why Do Some Obama Voters Now Agree With President Bush On Taxes?

Because it's a functional strategy in the U.S.'s playbook that has always worked -- and paid for itself.

Aside from that, at this point, anything is better than what Obama is proposing -- CBO, France's Central Bank, Sweden, China, et. al all agree that the recklessness of the Administration will bleed into other economies and have a negative outcome.

We can all turn a blind eye and ride this "hope" bandwagon right off of the cliff or we can step back and make a logical assertion of the quantitative analysis and admit -- "we were wrong...lets take a different approach".

Ultimately, "Figures don't lie, but liars always figure".

How did the press-conference turn out w/ the numbers given? People are tired of the lies just so the crooked Dems at the helm can get their spending money:

By the way -- China cuts taxes and their economy is on the rebound.

How is it red-china can take a successful strategy from our playbook, have a positive outcome and then look back at us and wonder why we're experimenting w/ 1 trillion of their dollars by trying to spend our way into prosperity. That in itself is embarrassing.

Bash:
"I.E.: The American people support Obama's tax cuts to the middle class, not Bush's tax cuts to the rich."

Bush cut taxes across the board - including giving a refund to the bottom 40% who didn't pay taxes. He also manipulated the tax brackets for the lower class assuring that if they were to make more money, they wouldn't jump into the higher tax-bracket.

The liberal Mantra "taxes for the rich" and "trickle down doesn't work" is only effective for those who don't study the actual numbers. I encourage you to check the links above, not only at the tax-revenue brought in, but the employment numbers as well (that would be the lower/middle class opportunities -- a trickle down characteristic...more jobs...income...standard of living that would have otherwise been absent).

Wake up...the spending proposals will require you pay. The top 5% ("The greedy rich") can't carry that burden alone.

Recent poll shows voters blame Bush more than Obama for the state of the economy. Your thoughts +Story->?

Voters blame Bush more than Obama for the economy

Voters are increasingly displeased with President Obama's handling of the economy, but a new poll finds most Americans still think George W. Bush is responsible for the nation's dismal financial state.
According to a new Quinnipiac poll, 54 percent of those surveyed say Bush is responsible for the "current condition" of the economy, compared to just 27 percent who blame Obama. Among self-described independent voters, a key 2012 voting bloc, the number shifts slightly: 49 percent point the finger at the former GOP president, while 24 percent blame Obama.
Supporters of Obama's re-election will no doubt view the number as a good sign for the president's bid for a second term. But they shouldn't get excited yet.
Polls over the last year have consistently found that voters continue to blame Bush more than Obama for the struggling economy. Yet Obama and Democrats have consistently struggled to translate that displeasure with Bush into a vote against GOP candidates.
But that could be changing. While Obama's approval rating on the economy is nothing short of dismal—just 38 percent approve—the Quinnipiac poll finds more Americans trust the president on the issue than the GOP congress, 45 percent to 38 percent. Meanwhile, 48 percent of those surveyed say they will blame the GOP congress if a debt deal isn't approved, compared to 34 percent who say they will blame the Obama administration.
Those aren't great numbers for Republicans who are likely to face just as much political peril as Obama in 2012 if the economy doesn't improve over the next year.
The Quinnipiac poll also finds major support for one of the concessions Obama has called for in the debt deal: 67 percent say any deal on the deficit should also include tax increases on the wealthy and corporations, in addition to spending cuts.

Why the polls say Obama is worse than Bush?

This is from Arlington VA...Republican headquarters. I would not believe one word of this. lol Thanks for the link..I need a good laugh every now and then! BTW...Bush grew the National Debt 6 trillion dollars...the republicans are whining about 787 billion being spent for THIS country?? Unbelievable....no just typical republican twisted thinking.

I think this post says it all...
McCullough is incredibly dishonest
McCullough intertwines a bunch of dishonest statements and 6 poll numbers in this ridiculous piece. One might suppose that he is cherry-picking his numbers, which is true, but his real trick is to site numbers that really have nothing to do with Obama. Perhaps it is true that 82% are worried about the national debt, but these people are not stupid enough to blame it on Obama. The poll numbers do not refer to Obama's performance.

In reality, here is what last week's WSJ/NBC poll found:

"[Obama] is more popular than ever, Americans are hopeful about his leadership, and opposition Republicans are getting drubbed in public opinion".

Here is the last-week's polling writeup from MSNBC.com:

"Obama's favorability rating is at an all-time high. Two-thirds feel hopeful about his leadership and six in 10 approve of the job he's doing in the White House."

Although he is bending reality, at least McCullough is not being hateful. But from a republican point of view, this kind of dishonesty is not doing anyone any favors.

Was Obama worse than Bush?

That, of course, is a matter of opinion. In mine, for what it’s worth, Obama was worse than G.W. Bush. Bush was more straightforward; he called it as he saw it. Obama was clearly more charismatic and an excellent orator; as such, he was able to twist and bend everything he said and all of his stances to fit your individual opinion (at least, the perception thereof) while Bush just told it like it was. In that regard, it was clear to see where Bush was coming from and going (in most cases), while with Obama, we never really knew. In sum, I appreciated Bush’s honesty rather than Obama’s double-speak and, in that regard, I find Bush to have been at least a better (certainly more honest) person, if not a better president. Just my personal opinion.

POLL: whose worse, hitler or obama?

Hitler is way worst, but Obama is bad. I understand what you mean.

@Mistro Im not racist, I'll tell the my honest opinion on any persident, doesnt matter about his/her race.

@Bawls McGee: totally agree. he still doesn't really obey the Constitution. it was unconstitutional for fighting in Lybia, and he also approve the NDAA, which allows the government to detain any Citizen without charge or trail.

Poll: Is this enough proof that Obama is worse than bush?

Ok basically Obama has just continued where bush left off. People were mad because bush wouldn't end the Iraq war even after saddam was killed. Obama is doing the EXACT same thing in Afghanistan! Osama is dead, so why are we still fighting??? Nobody is mad at Obama for that!

People say Obama is better than bush because Obama "killed" Osama bin laden. How the hell was it OBAMA that killed him??? He didn't go to Pakistan and kill him!

Obama has been telling forces to drop drone strikes all over innocent people in other countries. WTF!? and people STILL support him!

Along with that, Obama has managed to bring debt up, gas prices up (not to mention he obviously manipulated the prices right before the 2012 election, my gas went down a whole dollar and half and now it's higher than ever) and a crappy health care law. Why do people hate bush compared to Obama? I mean if you're gonna hate bush, at least have the urge to go on strike against Obama!

Why is Obama doing worse than Bush?

After 6 Months, More View Obama's Presidency as a 'Failure' Than Bush's

A rather surprising finding from the newly released CNN poll. Question three on the national survey of 1,136 adults (which includes an oversample of African-Americans) asks, "Do you consider the first six months of the Obama administration to be a success or a failure?"

Thirty-seven percent (37%) said they believe the Obama administration is a "failure," while 51% consider it a "success" and 11% say it's still "too soon to tell."

An identical question was asked of the Bush administration in an August 2001 CNN/Gallup/USA Today survey. At the time, 56% said the Bush administration was a "success" while only 32% considered it a "failure."

What do you think?

Why is Obama considered a better president than Bush?

These are definitely generalizations. And there will definitely be many exceptions to my answer but…In general, most people don’t care that much about other countries. Especially when there is no direct benefit for us. Which is why we America is letting South Sudan and Libya get really bad right now.Particularly, most people don’t care because our mass media doesn’t care. But that’s another story entirely.Liberals blamed and rallied against Bush in the iraqi war because many Americans were dying, and it was incredibly expensive. There were definitely people who despied the war because it was a war. But there were more people who just have a problem against spending a lot of money, and Americans dying for an arguably useless cause (I personally don’t think it was useless).Syria is the result of mistakes from many countries. America definitely shares some blame, that is true. But none of these problems in Syria were started by mistakes made by Obama. These were mistakes made in the heat of the cold war against Russia. These weren’t even Bushes’ or Clinton’s mistakes. These were mistakes of presidents like around the time of Lyndon B Johnson or Reagan. The presidents in those times. The people don’t blame Obama because the mass media doesn’t blame Obama. The mass media doesn’t blame Obama because they don’t care, and because it isn’t Obama’s fault to begin with.I don’t think Obama has done enough in Syria. But it isn’t his fault. The proxy war started under Obama, probably even nudged in that direction because of decisions made by Obama. But he did it because there was an initial problem to begin with. Bashar Al Assad was killing people and doing countless human rights violations.I don’t think Obama is perfect. But I think he is trying his best and inspiring people to do the same. That being said, I also don’t think Bush was a bad person either. He’s definitely made his share of mistakes. And since he is the opposite of a smooth-talker, his stupid mistakes are very easy to attack. And the mass media attacked him for it.Bush tended to say moronic things. Which is a big reason why a lot of people find it easy to hate him. But I think he did his best.

Do you agree or disagree- Obama is the worst President ever?

DISAGREE!

Some of Obama's accomplishments:

30 consecutive months of private sector job growth totalling 4.5 million at last count? When during his whole 8 years in office, in a booming economy, Bush's policies only saw the creation of 123,000 private sector jobs here in the USA, and the export of 2.9 million overseas.

Of course, GM is still here and Bin Laden's not. Now, when we buy a car it must get 29 mpg rather than 20, and by 2030, that will be 54 mpg.

Domestic oil production has risen steeply since 2008, and exports have gone down from a high of 62% in 2005 to 48% now. Yeah, we still have a ways to go, but that's the right direction.

We're out of Iraq. That's good. Iran is set back a decade in its nuclear program because Obama quietly ordered massive cyber attacks.

And in spite of Rush and the rest saying the guy is spending 'like a drunken sailor,' government spending is growing at the slowest rate since Ike (1.4%) and government employment is down 551,000 jobs.

Obama got BP to give $20 billion for gulf cleanup so taxpayers didn't have to foot the bill. By the way, the oil companies still can't fix the structural problems in those deep water wells. Did you know? I'd say Obama's done a great job for an Eisenhower Republican. He's certainly not the horrible, awful, terrible socialist the GOP needs him to be.

Also, did you know that in 1944, individual taxpayers like you and I paid in 53% of the government's tax revenue and corporations 35%, while now we pay in over 83% while corporations foot less than 9% of the bill? It's all about policy, and policies do have long term effect.

How can one say Barack Obama was a better president than Donald Trump?

not one President is going to be loved by everyone. Currently, people don’t seem to understand this. Those who elected Trump because he “tells it like it is” which I always felt foolish dont understand this at all. They hated Obama for insert many reasons that I’ll never understand. I never particularly cared for President Bush (43) I never downright LOATHED him. For 8 years Republicans HATED Obama, literally anything he did, he was despised for.So its surprising that they are so insulted when it comes to Trump. Another reason why its hard for me to give a shit about politics because people are so insanely hypocritical. Was Obama a great President? No he had his faults. I didnt agree with him 100% of the time but I was never embarassed he was my President. Only a handful of times was I embarassed that Bush was my President. I’ve been embarassed that Trump was my President from day 1.I don’t care if I disagree with his politics, thats part of the job as mentioned in my first statement. I do care that he introduces policy via Twitter. I do care that he insults members of his own party and members of the opposition.Lastly, I do care that he continually is vocal about his hate for Obama and Hillary. Please correct me if I’m wrong I couldn’t find anything, but i cant remember a time where Obama was so vehemently against W. Bush that he just threw his name around so as to blame someone else.People who do this on a regular basis, do so because they have nothing meaningful to contribute and instead make insults.
