Poll Who Was The Best President In U.s. History

Who was the worst president in U.S history?

I think its funny how its cool to hate G.W. Bush. Whats even funnier is that its usually only high school and college kids, or people who lack education entirely who hate Bush.

Seeing as how you asked this question in the History section, I would like to point out that it is widely believed by modern historians that History will be far kinder to Bush than the media, and the US in general was during his terms.

Its hard to say which president is the worst, there have been some pretty bad ones. For me, Clinton ranks up there near the top because he embarrassed our nation and defiled our nations highest office by getting a BJ from his secretary and then having the audacity to lie about it to the American people. Not to mention that he let several terrorists responsible for 9-11 slip through his fingers because he didnt have the balls to make hard decisions.

Also, Obama doesnt seem to be off to a good start. Nearly bankrupting our country 3 months into his term? His "Historic" election being blown waaay out of proportion will go down in history as the biggest "whoopty FN do", because he won based on skin color. Period.

Nixon is also near the top of the list, though I dont know about Kennedy.

Hoover was blamed for the stock market crash.

Every president had/has faults.

Who was the best President in the US in history?

washington - best and second best is way down the ladder from him.

washington was a general who helped the young nation form, led it's troops in critical engagements and when offered complete power - declined to accept it.

in an era of expanding executive authority - try to imagine this.

this was a GREAT man, probably the greatest man of his generation.

he had military courage and the disipline that went along with it and he was a gentleman, which was very important to him.

to give you an idea of how washington was viewed by his peers remember napoleon's last words - which were:
"they wanted me to be another washington..."

Who was the Best President in all US History?

Well I did a "Who is the worst so I better to "who was the best"

Same rules follow Do know that the 41st to 44th president does NOT count. (you will be view as illiterate if you can't follow this simple rule)

Please get good logical reasons why you believe that.

Here are some names ( you don't have to pick form here just ideas)

28. Woodrow Wilson
26. Theodore Roosevelt
03. Thomas Jefferson
01. George Washington
32. Franklin Delano Roosevelt
16. Abraham Lincoln
34. Dwight D. Eisenhower

~this time around I don't have one, maybe Eisenhower, or Wilson but not real sure

Without a doubt Franklin Delano Roosevelt, he not only took immense efforts to deal with the worst economic crisis in US History but he also had to lead the country during one of the worst wars in world history. Was he perfect, no. But zero of our Presidents were, and you have to weigh the goods and bads of all US Presidents to judge them fairly and FDRs goods outweigh his bads by a long shot.

POLL: If the president were gay...?

i think of the appropriate thank you to respond to your question is to handle each and each guy or woman element of what you reported. -"i don't think of the U. S. will EVER have a gay president. not till pigs can fly." -in case you asked human beings a hundred years in the past if u.s. will ever have a Black President, a hundred% of them might say NO. -"Like a customary guy? human beings seem as much as the 1st lady trend experience...and ladies human beings won't have any physique to look as much as though the 1st lady is a guy." -From what i've got considered, not a lot of human beings appeared as much as previous presidents' different halves. in actuality, countless presidents alongside with James Buchanan and Chester Arthur have been single for the time of their time as presidents. u.s. is getting greater tolerant, so in the event that they enable that ensue some years in the past, why might they care now? ultimately i might only pick to rigidity the reality that each and daily u.s. will become extremely greater tolerant of adjustments, and we virtually and maximum in all possibility will quickly have a woman president. all human beings is studying to vote thoroughly in accordance with political innovations and not any historic past counsel.

POLL: Reagan or Bush, worst president in US History?

By far, and I mean by far, Obama is clearly the worst president in US history. He is in fact a great politician but by far the worst president this country has ever had. Up until his election, Carter comfortably held the distinction of "worst" and Obama knocked him off that pedestal.

What makes Obama so dreadful as a president is his inability to see past his own ideologies and his inability to govern with everyone's wants/needs in mind. He panders only to a small group people who honestly feel that bloated government is their true salvation. He mocks those who do not share his ideologies and takes every opportunity to cast false accusations and stigmatize those in congress who have opposing view points. He is not an uniter, he is a divider! Just a tip for you Mr. President. If you want to get more people onto your side of the isle and accept your ideals, stop taking every opportunity to crap on those with opposing view points every time you step up to the podium!

Poll: Who was the worst president of the U.S.?

I disagree with those who said Bush was the worst president completely. He did do a lot of things that many people don't support now, but in thirty or forty years, everything he did will fall into place and will improve our economic and societal state tremendously. I think that potentially, he could be one of the best presidents we've ever had regarding the difficulty of his decisions and the societal prosperity will benefit from the in the long-run.

I believe Obama is the worst president of the United States. He has no idea what he's doing and is causing our economy and our society to crumble.

Abraham Lincoln (for himself).Ted Sorenson (JFK)Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. (also JFK)Peggy Noonan (Reagan)Raymond Moley (FDR)William Safire (Nixon)James Fallows (Carter)Michael Gerson (George W. Bush)It is also said that George Washington called upon the talents of Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and, perhaps, Thomas Jefferson. John Quincy Adams, know for his eloquence, also helped out James Monroe when he was president.

POLL: President Obama?

No, i do no longer. I dislike racist bigots, which he and his spouse are. i do no longer in elementary terms like the belief of stupid human beings interior the situation of authority, which Obama is. he's a snake-oil salesman, a used vehicle broker, and this u . s . won't recover from his grandiose plans. it is so unhappy, till the liberals grew to become a stress, we had a great u . s .. The extra the libs get their tentacles into the fabric of society and government, the extra serious it is going to get. it is fantastic, nonetheless, no stable factor ever lasts.

This is the 17th presidential election of my lifetime, although I don't remember the first two. I do remember 1964, Lyndon Johnson versus Barry Goldwater and I would say that is the most similar to 2016. Johnson was the nominee only because Kennedy was assassinated in late 1963 and he became president. Goldwater was viewed similarly to Trump, not the party's first choice and a shoot-from-the-hip guy in terms of what he said. As a result, the Democrats were able to portray him as a dangerous, risky choice and the election was a landslide. Although the polls are moving in Trumps direction, I still think this election will be lopsided with Hillary winning. If you are a Republican, there may be solace in history though. Johnson turned out to be very unpopular and did not seek a second term.
