An example of an experiment without a control would be, in order to test whether an aquarium tank ornament affects the pH of the water, just putting the ornament in the water, and after a certain length of time, testing the pH. You could not conclude anything from this "experiment" because you don't know whether the tank might have had a pH change over time. To actually see, you would have to have two identical tanks, and also would have to test the pH BEFORE the ornament was put in the tank in order to be able to come to a definite conclusion
You need to control all the variables that may influence the outcome of your experiment except the one you’re interested in. To pick up on Zanzibar Zeatley’s coffee example:You hypothesize caffeine makes you super human, that is you can lift more weight than anyone else. You randomly assign people to two groups. The experimental group and the control group. Randomly assigning people controls for the possibility your positive outcome was a result of selection bias. You picked body builders for the experimental group. So you put your experimental group on a steady diet of coffee. You make sure each group gets the same amount of exercise. This controls for the possibility your positive outcome was a result of your experimental group got more exercise than the control group. You show your experimental design to some peers. They suggest other ways the experimental group might acquire greater strength. For example, many of the people in the experimental group live at high altitudes and will be tested at a low altitude. So maybe any effect is a result of the experimental group just having more red blood cells. So you make sure each group lives at the same altitude.So, controlling for all other possible variables, other ways the result could have been achieved, is the best way to show caffeine is likely the only difference between the groups and likely the reason for the increased strength of the experimental group.It might be the case upon publishing, other scientists take a look at your paper and think up variables you did not control for (no one is perfect, eh) and could have influenced the results. “Did you control for x?” If the answer is no, you might then have to repeat the experiment with the new control, or possibly argue effectively the suggested influencing variable really has no possible way of influencing the outcome.

Does any one no how to become a game tester?
I have helped over 1000 people get into the industry through becoming a video game tester. I developed training and education for people to become video game testers. It has been made into online self paced training on the PowerUpGames.com Website. There is no such thing as a career as a stay at home game tester. You can get an occasional Gig that pays or gives you prize for participation but they take work to find and have to contact a lot of game companies to see if they have such work and would be interested in having you help with it. To verify my point, call Nintendo. They are in Redmond Washington. Ask them if they have such a position. If your friend did do it, it was for someone he knew that developed games. The friend who totally trusted him would have to give him a Nintendo Debug Kit that only Nintendo Developers get to play pre-release games or it was with a developer who didn't care about their game and uses a wide distribution to try to get more people interested. To Break into the industry - 2 things will greatly improve your chances. 1) where you are located. 2) the time of year. There are 10-12 main cities that have a lot of publishers. Like Seattle, Los Angeles, etc... Living in one of these cities makes it easier because there are more positions. If you don't live in one of these areas and you can't relocate, then you need to find the local publishers and see if you can help them. 2) May through June is the hiring season for the Christmas rush. It is the time of year to find the most game testing positions. Now become familiar with what game testing is, terminology, etc and build out a good cover letter and resume. Get some good experience and be able to talk about what you did in with the knowledge and terminology you have learned about Game Testing. Become familiar with the basics of game testing so after you land a position, you can keep it. (there are some companies that will hire 10 game testers knowing that after 2-3 days, they will know the best of the group and will lay off the rest. Is The Rapture Pre or Post trib?
Jesus makes it abundantly clear when the "rapture," or "gathering of the elect" will occur, and it's after we have been delivered to tribulation by our enemies, but before God in His wrath judges our enemies. The signs of this gathering are the sun becoming dark, and the moon becoming like blood. This fact is stated repeatedly in the Bible, in Joel 2, Matthew 24, Acts 2 and Revelation 6. Compare all of these scriptures, and you'll see that the "rapture" is pre-wrath, to take place a little over halfway through the 70th week. Please examine the scriptures I'm listing in my sources. @ Chris and Messenger: Where in those scriptures does it say we will be delivered from tribulation? It says we will be delivered before the wrath of God begins, but Revelation says that the wrath of God begins after the sixth seal. Jesus also said very specifically that we would be delivered to tribulation and we would be killed by our enemies. This is not the wrath of God. It is the wrath of Satan. I for one have discovered something incredibly selfish and disturbing about the pre-trib rapture view. It assumes that the most amazing men and women of God such as Richard Wurmbrand, Pastor Bike, Asia Bibi, and every person mentioned in Hebrews 11, 12:1, and 13:3 are actually terrible, horrible people doomed to torment in hell. Because they SUFFERED! They were NOT delivered from tribulation, and so they must have been under the curse of God Himself. It's no wonder Pastor Wurmbrand had such a hard time convincing the lazy, gluttonous American church to give even a thought and prayer for the underground church behind the Iron Curtain. What a lie! I for one am excited for the 70th week--the great tribulation--to begin. I beg God for the honor and privilege of standing with His persecuted church, of bearing His scars as a part of His body, and of a martyr's crown. I would actually be disappointed to find that the gathering was to take place before I'd had an opportunity to truly suffer for His name. I picture my face among those beneath the altar. I want to be there. What about you? Will you, the body of Christ, bear His scars? Or will you continue to live your cushy lives and belittle those who do suffer for His name? Wurmbrand is a better Christian than you. He's a better Christian than me. Because he suffered, not in spite of it. Bring on the tribulation!
No group in the world was able to pass security measurements of the US government and create 9\11?
You have to be kidding. The airplanes were hijacked using "box cutters". At the time, no one would have been prevented from carrying those onto an airplane even if security had noticed them. The general tendency among people is to "go along" with those who use force. There's a pretty good chance that they didn't even need the box cutters. Americans hadn't yet come to grips with the concept of a "suicide attack", so it isn't hard to imagine the hijackers being allowed to complete the mission without resistance. The only reason this tendency was overcome in the flight crashed in PA is because some of the passengers learned by cell phone of the other three flights being deliberately crashed. As far as Air Force interception, they were taken off-guard as well. When they were alerted, they initially expected the flights in question being over the Atlantic headed here, they were simply unaware that they originated in Boston, so even after taking off, they were headed in the wrong direction. The bottom line is that few people anywhere had the vaguest notion that anyone would even do such a thing, so it took everyone by complete surprise. It's really easy to get away with doing what isn't expected. It's why the "hail mary" play in football often works so spectacularly. Look, get real, here. You'd have never believed anyone would do such a thing, do you think Americans would have put up with current security measures then, even if the CIA had expected something like this? Don't you see how people react to elevated "threat levels" even now?
