How accurate are Ancestry's DNA tests?
I am no expert on DNA nor a scientist of any kind. But I know from experience that the DNA tests do accurately match you with others with whom you share DNA. The ethnicity estimates are just that - estimates. But in my case at least, they correspond accurately to what I know about my ancestry.I’m going anonymous on this question because this involves something I haven't told anyone but my significant other.I am the product of an affair my mother had. My parents have remained married. Growing up, I had no reason to suspect I was not my father's child. My parents did not tell me until I was an adult. They told me that they thought the man with whom my mother had had an affair was my biological father, though it was possible my dad was my biological father.Naturally, I wanted to know for sure. My dad will always be my dad to me, DNA or no DNA. He was the one that carried me to bed until I was 10, taught me to drive, brought me one flower every time he brought my mom a bouquet. He was and will always be my dad. Still, I still wanted to know for sure. But I didn't want to risk hurting him by asking him to take a DNA test with me, so I let it go.Some years later, I made a family tree on Ancestry. I wanted to fill in what I could while some of my older family members were still alive and could answer questions. While on the site, I read about their DNA testing and was intrigued. I wasn't even thinking about my paternity issue; I was just curious to see what mix of nationalities I have (I'm American).But when the results came in, I was stunned. My dad is the child of Italian immigrants. I had always identified as half Italian. I still thought of my dad as my biological father, even though I knew it was possible he wasn't. But my test results did not show ANY percentage as “Italy/Greece”. Then I looked at the list of others who had taken the test and who had some matching DNA. I saw, as expected, cousins from my mother's side of the family. But I also saw multiple matches who had the last name or were descended from someone with the last name of the man with whom my mother had had the affair. I had my answer. DNA knew the truth.

Sometimes I think guys don't go out with me because I'm ugly, but I asked this one guy I hang out with and he said cause I'm too cute for him to kiss me. Also I once I had a boyfriend and he broke up with me after being with him for 9 months because he didn't want to hurt me cause he saw me as a little girl and he didn't want to hurt me. I don't know really. I don't like this because I can't be with someone I love because either they see me as a lot for them or I put myself down a lot cause I feel I'm not good enough. A score of 100 is the average in IQ tests, however, anything you take online cannot be accurate. IQ tests have to be given by trained professionals, under certain conditions, with specific wording, etc. A graduate entry exam (the MCAT) might give you a better idea about your potential for medical school.

I don't have confidence because I don't look good, how can I improve both, look and confidence?
I have a friend, she speaks well, she had a 3 digit AIPMT rank and she is beautiful (Good looking) .The other day we were having a conversation, I asked, “ You always look so confident and presentable, is it because you are beautiful? “She said, “ I'm confident because of my achievements, it feels good to have so many people around, good looks are just icing on the cake, but you know at times, somewhere inside I feel, so many people around me are only because of my looks, I have that little fear inside me about what if someday i turn ugly, will anybody be around?”I learned a bit, people get confidence because of their achievements. Recommendation for concealable .40 S&W polymer handgun for personal defense?
Lets look at each of these guns. Beretta PX4 Subcompact - Berettas are ok, but i would keep looking. i didnt like the sights and the grip didnt feel good to me ( thats just me though) S&W M&P compact ( this is a TINY GUN) almost to the point of to small. H&K USP Compact - This one i have shot a great deal, my marketing guy carrys one of these. he had the hkP2000 and traded for the subcompact. Springfield Armory XD-40 Subcompact, - its an ok gun. XD series are good. but not the best. its like a glock that has been customized Glock 27 or 23. - the glock is a tried and true frame. lots of aftermarket parts. easy to break down. I would consider these others as well. I carry a P229 - DAK - a little to big for what you are looking for but you can look at the 239 - this gun uis a small 229, I LOVE THIS gun. it has never jammed and i shoot all kinds of ammo through it. Another to consider is the Taurus Millennium Pro series, these are good shooting, reliable both the sig and the taurus have never jammed on me yet. ( i have over 4000 rounds through the sig) keep in mind some of the ones you are looking at are considered Sub compact guns. these are not for ccw, the are for deep cover situations. This is why i reccomended the Sig and the Taurus. The glock 23 is a good gun but i would not believe the hype. I have had more than one ( brand new) glocks give me issues. about the comment that ranges are unrealisitc.Ranges are to build muscle memory and get you used to carrying the gun. then go out and join IDPA or some sort of tactical training. (if you want reccomendations contact me) Dont rule out ranges. ranges give the the chance to change the setting, distances, and lighting at will. I do alot of night shooting like this.
