Ever had a procrastination attack?

Happens to me all the time. I call it "hitting the wall". What helps me is to get up away from the desk and just go do something. Take a walk, visit with a coworker, hide in the bathroom and text your friends, whatever it takes. Just taking a break usually helps. I don't think you're lazy, I think you're bored with your job.

How can I stop being a procrastinator during holidays?

It’s a tough question. I myself find it very difficult to do so.But still there’s a workaround.We can build a system or a routine. Something that forces us into work rather than letting us burn daylight.Your routine could have specific times for specific subjects. If not followed 3 times in a row, or 5 times in a row, schedule a punishment for that.Keep an accountability partner who can check whether you followed the routine or punishment. Keeping a person accountable maintains a pressure over us.It doesn’t let us slip away.Procrastination can be fixed with this one simple question. “What can I do right now?”Keep asking yourself this. Whenever your mind takes you to the future, ask this simple question. It will be forced to do whatever is supposed to be done right now.If you want to take bath, start by asking this question. Right now, you can get up from your chair or bed. Done. Now, you can walk out the door. Now, you can open the balcony. Now, you can pick up the towel.Such minute attention to the present moment’s task will help defeat procrastination to its deepest levels.This is how we can spend a dynamic and productive weekend.

Ramadan:how do you overcome laziness and Procrastination?

Valaikum Assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu ..

Procrastination is a effect of depression. The conscious malady function. Allah(swt) has kept many remedies for this problem.But you must need to put your effort on to over come this.

Read Surah Ad Duha
According to one report, after the Prophet had begun receiving revelation from God, at one point a long period of time passed with no such communication from Allah. As a result, the Makkans ridiculed the Prophet and he became severely depressed. That’s when this chapter was revealed (Quran 93: 1-11). The chapter is a beautiful reminder to us to see life in the greater scheme of things, to be grateful for what we have and to never give up striving for what is right. This chapter of the Quran can be considered a direct recipe from God for depression.

Say ‘Hasbun Allahu wa Ni’ mal Wakeel‘;

This has been translated as “God suffices me and He is the best guardian.” It is an excellent way of reminding us that whatever worries we have or problems we face, God has the answer and cure to all of them and is the only One who can really do what is best for us.

How much harm can procrastination do?

Procrastination to speak up might...... keep you single when you would rather be happily married.. prevent you from getting the raise you want and deserve.. mislead others to believe you neither love or appreciate them.. postpone your having a larger network.of closer relationships with family and friends.. cause your medical condition to be correctly diagnosed sooner.. rob you of knowing how it feels to be forgiven.  Keep you in an unhealthy relationship longer.. be the reason your business fails to.succeed.. stop you from asking for help and saving a life, even your own.. postpone your taking your dream vacation with the love of your life.. give your children the wrong ideas about your true intentions and build walls instead of bridges.. separate you from your true self until one day you cannot tell the difference . be the reason your heart craves its own creative expressions and your spirit suffers for the lack of it.. seem a small thing at the time but in the life of one other, make all.the difference in the world.. give reason for a loved one to leave when had they been given more information would have remained..keep you in a state of denial for awhile but not without great cost.. protect you from having the very things you desire most...Think about it!

I think of starting my studies each day but procrastinate. How can I get over this?

To be honest, studying is not easy for any individual. Even if it is someone who tops the class or someone who struggles to pass. The problem you suggested occurs to me quite often during my revision holidays. I decide to start learning on a particular day,set the time table,keep all the books ready.But what happens in the morning is quite contrary.I drag my breakfasts so as to waste time and make myself feel that it is not me it was the breakfast that wasted my time.How lame is that?It is self manipulation.What I have realized from all these years (though quite little) of my studies is that,in order to start learning on a particular day,you have to make up your mind for it first.then you may actually have a written time table.The wonders that a written time table can create is numerous.What happens when you write it down is that everyday you get reminded of your lag in your studies.This helps you buckle up a bit.When you finish studying for a day, you may check as to what you have to study the next day. This will help you have a clear mental picture of what you are going to study the next day.Thus your mind would get accustomed to the subject or topic for the next day which makes everything faster and there will be no more procrastinating of studies.Last but not the least, tell yourself that you are going to learn something new each dayIt is only knowledge that is wealth.

How do I stop procrastinating this year, during my A Levels?

What not to do:Do not stay up late and think tomorrow your brain will be fully functional in lesson, especially with how tedious A Level learning can be.Do not revise all topics at once and in large amounts.Do not assume that you will be able to achieve top grades when revising two weeks before the exam.Do not be afraid of asking for help.What to do:Get good sleep, exercise and eat healthy.Revise everyday for at least 4 hours (I would try to revise something different each hour to not get bored)Ask your parents or close relatives to keep your phone until you're finished revising (Remember to lock it)Use online resources. There are a ton of them!Use flashcards and discuss your topics with your friends, teachers and family.Find a learning method that suits you.
