I agree 100% people dont read and just answer.I looked up on google also and found no info however there is a possability in the service menu to change the region code as seen on Google and AVS forums. But there is a chance it may brick the TV if the wrong setting is touched.Be careful inside the service menu.Toshiba can tell or a pro how to set in the service menu.

Toshiba or samsung LCD tv?

We went to best buy and got a samsung and a toshiba tv. They are both 32in LCD, and 720p and the both cost around 350$ which tv should I get? My parents said I could pick either the toshiba or the samsung.

The guy at best buy said that the samsung has a chip in it that makes bright colors seem even brighter and that if he was in a samsung tv he would look bright and if he was in the toshiba tv he would look how he looks now.

BUT when I looked at the two tv's side by side the toshiba actually looked brighter.

So which tv should I get? Please make your answer based on... Which lasts longer, which one has better features, and which one has better picture and sound quality.

Toshiba model= 32C110U

Samsung Model= LN32D450G1D

Can I use a TV as a computer monitor?

Yes you can use TV as a computer monitor but for that you will need a high-tech HD computer monitor that have high-resolution.You can. Despite the fact that relying upon what you intend to utilize the PC for, you dislike the outcomes.Television's have a tendency to have bring down goals in proportion to their size, which implies greater pixels (conceivably foggy pictures) and lower revive rates (which implies slower reaction to enter). On the off chance that your solitary objective is easygoing web perusing and video spilling you likely won't think about these issues. On the off chance that you are a focused gamer, you'll see rather rapidly that your reaction and precision endure in contrast with a screen of a similar size. (accepting the run of the mill screen has a higher goals and higher invigorate rate)Essentially with present day TV's and screens they are viably a similar innovation and are from multiple points of view exchangeable. What is important in any case are the real useful insights of each. Goals, outline rates, invigorate, reaction, and so on.Analyze the insights for each and pick the quality level you need. A low quality screen is of for all intents and purposes no distinction to an excellent TV. Be that as it may, a lower quality TV is tremendously sub-par compared to a superb screen. In today's world calling something a TV or a screen is essentially simply showcasing, and keeping in mind that there are no standards that organizations are required to pursue with respect to what falls into every classification. The general pattern is that anything marked a TV is of lesser measurable ability than something named as a screen from a similar organization. In truth this choice has existed for a considerable length of time. Thinking back to the 1980's numerous PCs, (for example, Atari and Commodore) were intended to just connect to TVs. Standard TVs had a goals of 640x480.Considering things a screen basically separated the screens that were equipped for being utilized outside of the standard TV settings. As present day HD TV's are currently in the scope of where more established screens used to be, there's an obscuring of the lines with respect to what qualifies as a TV versus what is a screen.

Best way to connect 7.1 Creative T770 PC speakers to Toshiba 32" HD LCD TV?

I have a set of Creative T770 7.1 PC speakers from a few years ago (hard to find info on creative.com now) that I want to connect to a new Toshiba 32" LCD HD TV 32AV500U.

The speakers have 4 1/8 headphone size connections, which I managed to convert down to 1 headphone, then split to 2 RCA jacks through a series of adapter cables, to connect to a DVD player. It fills the room with sound, but I know I lost all the surround capability by doing that.

The TV has 2 (1 set) of RCA audio out and a digital audio out. I would like to connect the speakers to the TV and keep some surround sound, even 5.1. I don't know anything about adapting 4 1/8 headphone to digital audio, if that would still mix it all down to one signal or if I can keep them separate.

My other option is buying a receiver if anyone could recommend one (cheapest) that would let me connect the 4 1/8 headphone jacks and use the digital audio out option for best quality.

Fixing a Rear Projection TV Fresnal and Lenticular Screen - Toshiba 42H83?

The protective screen (which I don't care that much about), and the Fresnal and Lenticular Screen got cracked on my Toshiba 42H83 Rear-Projection TV.
I called Toshiba, they sent me to distibutors who sell the fresnal and lenticuar for more than $250... was wndering if any Fresnal and Lenticular screen could be used, and would that be cheaper?

Also, as an aside if anyone knows, the TV is on warranty with Best Buy, but they say they won't fix broken screens, I did not see that in the warranty info... any way I can get them to stil fix it?

Thanks

Toshiba TV takes 1-8 hours to turn on!?

Honestly, the set has failed and will require repair by a qualified technician. While the set is repairable, the cost may exceed the replacement cost of the set. You did not mention the size of the set, so I use this "rule of thumb"...

If the set is 42" or larger, repair may be a good way to go provided the repair shop uses better than original parts. If the set is 32" or smaller, you will be ahead to replace the set given the drop in the price of new sets. You can recover some cost by selling it as a "fixer" on Craigslist.

Do keep in mind that pretty much all brands of television are having issues, which are due to cost cutting of the parts that go into them, which in turn has brought down the price of the sets.
