Prime Pippen And Rodman Vs Prime Bosh And Injured Wade

Despite having Wade, Kyrie, Bosh, Love, Ray Allen, and being on 2 super teams for more than half of his career, a LeBron team has never been the overwhelming favorite to win it all, like the Warriors, Lakers, and Bulls were. Is LeBron overrated?

No. Ok so lets break it down2007 - no superteam, Lebron was underdog. This was expected2011 - The only year Lebron was favored to win it and lost it. This was all on Lebron, and easily this was his worst Finals loss2012 - won it2013 - won it2014 - Wade was injured, Allen was at the last year of his career, and Bosh was declining as well, while the Spurs had a prime Kawhi Leonard, along with solid veterans in Duncan/Parker/Ginobili. There’s a good reason why Spurs were favored.2015 - Warriors were favored because Lebron lost Kyrie and Love to injuries2016 - Warriors were favored - but Lebron came back to win it all against all odds2017 - Warriors were heavily favored due to having 4 all stars on their team and 2 MVPs (Curry/Durant). Lebron/Kyrie/Love cannot match up2018 - Like 2017, except even worse because Lebron doesn’t even have Kyrie anymore. So obviously Warriors were heavily favored again.Besides 2011, I don’t see why any of the others were Lebron’s fault.

Should Scottie Pippen never have averaged 40 minutes per game in his one and only season with the Houston Rockets in '98-'99?

So, consider a few things.  Pippen is a 50 Greatest of All Time.  If you have him, you play him.  When a player comes back from off season injury, you assume he is ready to go, otherwise he doesn't come back.  34 years, kind of old, past your prime, but not too old either to make a solid contribution.  So look at his stat you mention, solid contribution.  Factor in that he is sharing touches with two other 50 Greats of All Time in Barkley and Hakeem, as opposed to just Jordan.  Think about what happened to Chris Bosh's stats once having to share touches with Lebron and Wade in Miami. If your question is solely, should Rudy T not have played him that much, short answer is No.  That's his job, to perform at a high level for how ever long he is asked to do so.  He didn't get injured that season.  No harm, no foul, no wrong doing on anyone's part.  A lot of superstar players average around 40 minutes a game.If your question is, did he excess playing time (if you want to call it that)  contribute to the lack of success of the Houston Rocket team, also the answer is No.  On paper, that was a great team.  As you mentioned in your question, there was a lack of chemistry.  But also, they were a bunch of old guys (Barkley, Pippen, and Hakeem - all old, past their prime superstars.)  Look at the Rocket's success (or lack thereof) the seasons before Pippen arrived.  Didn't exactly go deep in the playoffs.  The back to back Championship were three years prior.  Adding an aging superstar wasn't going to do much more.  In retrospect, that Houston team just wasn't nearly as good as we all thought or expected.  I think they had lost Robert Horry and Sam Cassell by that point as well, which was a pretty major set back.  Other teams in the West were simply better.Still, I'd play a 34 year old Pippen over any-year Sam Mack or Eddie Johnson any day.

Does this statement stand true regarding LeBron James?

let me see, kobe in game 7 against the Celtics goes 6-24, 25% shooting and if it was not for Gasol and Artest the Lakers lose that game.

the previous year in 2009 another game 7 against the Rockets and kobe scores 16 points where Gasol score 30 points and 18 rebound, once again Gasol bails kobe out. both of these are game 7 and if they lose then the lakers do not win those championships

lets go even further, 2003 Fisher hits the miraculous shot with .04 second in which the Lakers win that game and beat the Spurs and went on to win the championship, if Fisher does not hit that miracle shot the Lakers do not win that series and that championship with shaq

2002 anotther last second shot similar to Allen where a miss shots and a tip back to Robert Horry who drills a 3 point shot to win that game against Sacramento in which if Horry does not make that shot the Lakers would be down in that series 3-1 but since he made that last second miracle shot the Lakers were down 3-2 and ended up winning that series.

the point being you act like Lebron is the only person in the world that won a championship when someone other than the star made a big play or had a big game.

so stop your hating and pay homage to King James, haha

Sports Poll : Which Big 3 Was Better... Miami Heat Lebron , Wade & Bosh Or Cavs Lebron , Irving & Love...?

Lebron vs Lebron: Obviously Miami Lebron was better. Cleveland Lebron is getting slow.

Wade vs Irving: Wade was the better player, but Irving's 3 point shooting fits better with Lebron. Plus, they're both injury threats. I'd call this one a wash.

Bosh vs Love: Get Love out of Cleveland, he's not a star, and he's costing that team defensively. He might be a better shooter than Bosh, but Bosh is no slouch and a much better defender that facilitated small ball because he could hold his own at center.

Of course, it's not a Big 3 that wins championships, it's entire teams, and the Cavs team is better overall, but I'd rather have Bosh and Wade than Irving and Love

Jordan vs Lebron hear me out?

Me personally I believe that Lebron and Jordan are equally matched
Stats: Tied
One on One: Jordan
Overall: Lebron
If they played one on one I believe Lebron will kill him when he drives shooting also but Jordan's fadeaway is unstoppable personally I think Lebron is a better player because Lebron took the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Finals by hisself, no help and he also came out of high school averaging 25+ points and leading that dead in team. Jordan couldnt do that for the Bulls, OUT OF COLLEGE so Jordan has no excuse he had 4 more years to develope but didn't lead the Bulls to the Finals when they're line up had dead end players. Jordan needed help from Pippen and others. Lebron didn't need any help. I think if Pippen wasn't there he would've won only about 1-3 championships. Lebron is very Underated compared to Jordan

What are some reasons why Michael Jordan is better than Lebron James?

Competition. Jordan played and defeated some of the best player to every play in the HISTORY of the game. He defeated Larry Legend. He defeated Magic Johnson. He defeated Shaq. He defeated The Admiral. He defeated The Mailman aided by the best Point Guard in history. He defeated The Bad Boys of Detroit (by far his toughest challenge). He defeated Ewing. He defeated Barkley. He’s probably defeated more current and future Hall of Famers than any player in history.Jordan came in and stole the game from Magic Johnson and Larry Bird while both were still in their primes. He stole the NBA from probably two of the 10 best players to ever play the game…WHILE they were still playing. He played in the NBA at a time when every team’s top player was a future Hall of Famer, at least that’s how it seeemed. That level of competition is absent from today’s NBA.Lebron is a great player, there is no doubt about it. But Lebron has NEVER had to face the level of competition that Jordan faced every night of his NBA career…and that’s just the regular season. The playoffs were much worse.I could talk about clutch, but another answer has already touched on it. I could talk about stats like usage and turnover percentage, but again, already handled. The real reason that Michael Jordan is the best is because he played against the some of the best in NBA history and destroyed them night after night.
