Should I run if I have knee problems?

With minor knee problems, you can start by walking first. Start with 15 mins walk eventually increasing time of daily walks. Walking is a very good exercise to start off with for people with knee problems. This way you ensure you don’t hurt your knees or put unnecessary pressure on your knees and injure it. Walking can help you make it stronger and then you can eventually increasing the time of your walking and then eventually can shift to running or small jogs. Apart from walking pouring hot water and massage/physiotherapy can also help you relieve your knee problems.

Knee Pain Help??

Your knee pain is from patellofemoral syndrome. The reason that PT did not work for you in the past most likely is that they did not focus on strengthening your hip and butt muscles and/or training you to not use your quad muscles (front of thigh) too much. Did you go to a sports medicine PT place? Also, if you have flat feet that can be a factor in your knee pain. Did the PT check your feet? There are a few times when PT doesnt help patellofemoral syndrome and surgery is necessary.
Also, I can sort of answer your other question about Pitt's PT program. It is known in the PT community as a pretty good program. If you can get into the early acceptance then do so.
If you have any other questions feel free to message me, I would be happy to help.

I have a jumper's knee problem I would like as much answers to help me out! Thanks!?

I am twelve, sorry I am on this site, but my knee's have been hurting for about a year, and I think it started when I started playing soccer at school and home and I am a little or a bunch over weight idk, 120 pounds, and I guess that when I run it is alot of rough landing and kicking rather then a swift motion. I didn't know if alot of people my age have this so I talked to my friend and he said that it might be similar to what he has which is Jumper's Knee, and that most athletes have it and usually you have to get surgery, this scared the hell out of me. And I researched some and it seems that if not taken care of it can get worse... I was just wondering what a doctor will do, and if I go to a doctor if I will be excluded from PE, I was wondering because usually this gets better in children, and since PE is fun if I would not do things like Jumping Jacks or Running, idk, I am not looking for excuses but I do not want to further injure my self into more problems. And I did a test to see how bad my jumper's knee is and on a 1-10 I got 70% I think that best describes it as I have some pain when crouching or running and when running for long periods of time my knees hurt more, sooo, help me out here guys what are treatments, long term things that could happen, and what actives might have to be suspended and for how long?

-Thanks!!!

Sorry for the long ? I am just worried and want to be informed!!!

Child knee problem?

My brother was around the same age when the doctors found that the cartilidge in his knee had worn down, it could be that.

I have a problem with my right knee?

okay, so this has been happening since i was about 15, im now almost 18. my right knee hurts me alot. its not so much my knee cap, but, right below my knee. and there is a bony thing that sticks out and hurts when i touch it, or squeeze it. especially if i sit crosslegged for a while. im not athletic at all. but i did get into a car accident a while ago. when i saw the car hit us, i curled up, so the airbag may have hit my knee but i dont remember. ive had it looked at, and been told it has something to do with my patella tendon. but i wasnt told anything other than that.

Physics problem with a knee diagram... Help me start this pleeeease.?

T cos 37 + T cos 80 = 0.7986 + 0.1736
= 0.9722 T
T sin 37 - T sin 37 = 0.6018 - 0.9848
= -0.383T acting down
--------------------------------------...
Resultant R =
T √ [0.9722 ^2 + 0.383^2 ]
1.0449 T.
= 1.0449 kN.
