Depends what you mean by gaming, playing LoL or counterstrike in 720p then yes, playing battlefield or CoD advanced warfare in 1080p30fps minimum then most definitely no. With gaming in mind you never buy a laptop, laptops start throttling after an hour or so of heavy use. To explain better, due to increased heat output from the device components and since a laptop has tiny fans (even a huge fan under it on those expensive stands is not good enough ) the motherboard will decrease the frequency the componets run at to keep them in good condition for longer times or save them from burning out in an instant if you're unlucky. Assuming you already have the necessary driver for your PS3 controller, do the following: Connect your PS3 controller to a USB port and them go to Control Panel and Game Controllers to make sure that your PC is detecting it correctly. Once you're sure its working right, open up Visual Boy Advance and go to Options, then down to Joypad, then Configure and select 1. Once you're there you should just be able to customize the button settings for use with VBA. Hope it helps.
How do I use a PS3 controller with Visual Boy Advance on my laptop?
I plugged in my PS3 controller into my laptop, at which point in automatically installed the controller driver. When I check Game Controllers in the Control Panel on my laptop, it says the PS3 controller is working properly. However, whenever I try to configure my controls on the VBA application, my PS3 controller is unresponsive, and all 4 red lights on the controller (the ones that indicate which player the controller is assigned to) flash on and off repeatedly. I've watched YouTube tutorials, but none of them explain what to do when this happens. Any help?
